In a brisk, informal one‑minute video, Dr. John A. King recommends David Gemmell’s novel Troy. He opens with a casual greeting, notes that the book is available via a link in his bio, and contrasts Gemmell’s retelling with James Cameron’s Odyssey film, which he dismisses as “crap” and unfaithful to the original story. King praises Gemmell for delivering a “fantastic” fantasy‑sci‑fi version of the classic Troy saga, positioning it as the best literary take for fans of the myth. He issues a strong endorsement, giving the book a rating of “Brilliant to bollocks. Brilliant. Full send,” and urges viewers to obtain a copy through the provided link.

G'day, g'day. Another 1-minute book review. All these books are available in a link in the bio. This one, Troy by David Gemmell. Love Gemmell stuff. You know, the James Cameron Odyssey stuff, whatever. I thought it was crap. I thought it wasn't true to the story at all. Love this guy because if you're going to read a fantasy book that's a take on a classic author, you might as well read a good version of it. And this guy does a fantastic job. So if you like the Troy saga, if you like a fantasy sci-fi writer like Gemmell is, a guy who's been around for a long, long time and is going to be here a lot longer than other people's versions of it, get you a copy of Troy. So simple rating because everyone goes crook at me if I don't do the rating. Brilliant to bollocks. Brilliant. Full send. Link in the bio. Cheers.
