Flash Church take 2

Dr. John A. King announces a Flash Church initiative to help under-resourced pastors. The church received strong positive reception, though details aren't finalized. He's asking for volunteers, flexibility, and buy-in for a planned 12-month trial.

Wow. Flash church. That was unexpected, wasn't it? Literally sitting in the backyard, mowing the lot grass, moved by incredible compassion for, for pastors who have been through the sorts of things we've been through but haven't had the resources we've had. Resources from a team that's stuck it together, a building not in, you know, financial insecurity. Their own self as a pastor. I have an alternative source of income that they never have. So just move with incredible compassion for those people. The response has been amazing, both on Saturday night and afterwards, just an outpouring of support and excitement about it. Lots of questions as to what next. Here's the kicker. I have no idea. I know nothing more than you do. That was what I told you on Saturday night. So all I know is that we can work it out. We're not silly. That there's a tremendous need and God gives wisdom. I think when Noah built the ark, he was given an outline and a plan by God, but then he had to figure out all the bits and pieces as he went. I think we have an outline and a plan. I believe it's given by God. We'll find out. The reception seems to be by yourself and by, by the other people at Gerald that I've spoken to, but the bits and pieces will have to work out together. Now, I can't do this myself. We can't do this as a team. Just Scotty Hoops, you know, Tams, Angela Beck, Mel and myself. We can't do it like that. It's got to be us as a church because I need buy-in from you that it's time for you to serve and change lives. I need buy-in from you that you see the duty, the beauty and the joy. In pouring yourself out for someone else, whether it'll be 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 4 weeks, whatever that period is, I don't know. We're going to make mistakes, promise you. We'll get things right, promise you. But I think we're going to have a lot of fun. I think our church will grow. I know you'll grow. I know I'll grow. And I really believe we can be of service to the body of Christ. So let's just see how it goes. Hey, let's pop on in and be flexible. Let's do whatever needs to be done. Let's come up with ideas. Let's not wait for someone else to be the solution. Let's be the answer. And just see what happens for 12 months. You in? Why not? Cheers.
