Katrina Williams shared her story of life before and being home to Warumungu.

In this interview, Katrina Brown-Williams introduces herself, describing her three skin names—Nangala, Nabrila, Naburu—and her affiliation with the Walpiri, Waramunga, and Walmumpa peoples. She recounts her childhood in Aliquarrung, the loss of her mother at age nine, and a 17‑year period living away from her Country before returning a year ago to reconnect with culture and give back. Katrina now works for KAMA Radio (Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association) in Tennant Creek, expressing deep affection for the town’s weather, sense of home, and the constant presence of family and community members. She concludes by hoping that everyone, particularly the Wurundjeri and Tancrook peoples, can achieve self‑determination and forge their own paths.
