John King, a corporate training veteran, is teaching kids entrepreneurship through his children's coffee business, Beans and Cream. They took on a 12-month debt with a 20% investor return requirement. Two weekend workshops in September and October will cover material King normally charges $10,000 to $15,000 per day to teach.

Hey, how you doing? My name is John King and I am the father who has the privilege on occasion of raising the kids who own Beans and Cream Coffee and Cones in Keller, Texas. We gave the kids an opportunity about 11 weeks ago. We didn't give them a business, we gave them a debt. We put them in and said, you've got 12 months to pay this debt off with a 20% return on investment. To your investors. We want to teach them marketing. I want to teach them business before I send them off to education because you can always add education on top of business. It's very hard to add business on top of education. So I want to give them a chance at learning some of the things that's taken me 25, 30 years to learn. My background is actually corporate training, working with corporations all across the Pacific, through Europe, through America. I did a whole bunch of stuff in corporate coaching, change development, change management, starting up businesses. I started up a lot of businesses and funded a lot of things through the businesses. I've got a couple of people who work with me, Joe Orman and Melissa Ryan, who's our oldest adopted daughter. Their background is in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance. Together, we've formed the Project Team to help my kids be successful, but we want to make that platform available to your children. I'm about to put the kids through a series of training. I'm going to do 2 weekends, one in September and one in October, and just take them for 2 hours and start to get them thinking about what the future looks like, how to grow their businesses, the sort of skills that they'll need in order to grow their businesses mentally, practically. We want to open it up to people in our community. So if you've got a child, probably someone in school who is interested in business and you believe could benefit from this sort of thing, Then please leave us a message on Facebook and we'll let you know some further information. But we're going to take the sort of material that people would pay me $10,000 to $15,000 a day to come and do, and we want to pass it on to kids in our community. So, we look forward to meeting you. I'm sure there's interest out there. We've had so much positive feedback from people wanting their kids and really wondering if their kids could somehow get involved. So, we think this is the first step. that we can help towards reaching out from our family to yours and see if we can't just change the mindset of our kid and prepare them for the future that's coming, not the future we grew up with. Alright, look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.
