Dr. John A. King argues that manhood means providing for and protecting your family through financial support, physical readiness, and manual labor. He emphasizes a man's role as spiritual head of the household, grounded in biblical teaching that men were given a job by the Creator to tend the garden and guide the family's future.

You've got to be prepared to be the spiritual head of your household in whatever form that takes. Be that prophet, be able to look to the future and say, look, this is the way I think we should walk in it.
