I need my wife to answer the phone every time I call her. It doesn't matter if I know she's at home, doesn't matter if I know she's out shopping, it doesn't matter if I know she's out running around. I just need her to answer that phone. She was sitting with a girlfriend and they were chatting and it came up and it was suggested to her that I was controlling. Her response was wonderful. She said, it's not controlling. It's not controlling. It's just what he needs from me to help him with his day. My wife's my true north, and, and when the world gets wobbly for me, when things get unsettled for me, if I know that there's one person in the world that I can pick up and hear her voice, it's like my true north. It just sends me home. I know that the world is going to be okay. For so many of us, we just need that. We just need to know that there is at least one person in the world who believes in us and is standing with us.
