Dr. John A. King asks people to share reviews of his book "How to Deal with It" during PTSD Awareness Month. He encourages turning shame into what he calls "medals of honour" by speaking openly about trauma. He's releasing a new ebook version and a PTSD-awareness t-shirt this month.

Hey, how you doing? It's Post-Traumatic Stress Awareness Month, and I want to encourage those folks who have got How to Deal with It to do a video review. If you've seen one of the video reviews and you've heard someone's story and how the book has touched them and helped them, you've been encouraged by their vulnerability. And I want to keep that conversation going. I want people to be comfortable talking about this thing that we deal with on a daily basis. Listen, when your scars turn from shame to medals of honour, you've made a jump inside yourself. You're no longer embarrassed to talk about it, talk about what you need or what you're struggling with. And that's what we want to see happen with it. There's 2 things that we've done for this month. We brought out an ebook version of Deal With It, and we've also brought out a PTSD Month awareness t-shirt. Get a hold of them, folks. Don't be embarrassed by what you go through. Climb out there. It's okay. We're all dealing with it and we're all working through it.
