The speaker praises the book as well‑researched, factual, and highly readable—essentially a concise history that challenges common dismissive views of Christianity. The reviewer rates the book a “full brilliant” on a personal “brilliant‑to‑bollocks” scale, recommends it to anyone who enjoys history, wants intellectual challenge, or seeks to expand their thinking, and directs viewers to a link in the bio for the book.

Right. Hello. Something a bit different for you. The Victory of Reason by Rodney Stark. Love this book. Very challenging. First of all, on the brilliant to bollocks meter, I'm going to give it a full brilliant. So Stark's premise, and it's very challenging, is that Christian theology has led to all the major advances in Western society. And it talks about the freedom, the capitalism, the success that happens in the West is all based on theology, which is very challenging because a lot of the views out there about Christianity is nandy-pandy and just, you know, for a whole bunch of wussy pussy boys. Not the case with this. I found it a great read, very factual, very well researched. It's like a little history book that's very, very obtainable. So if you love history, if you love to be challenged, if you love your thought process to be elevated and expanded, then I would give this a go. The Victory of Reason: How Christianity Led to Freedom, Capitalism, and Western Success. Rodney Stark, link in the bio. I'd give it a full brilliant. Go get you some.
