In a rapid one‑minute YouTube Shorts segment, Dr. John A. King delivers an enthusiastic endorsement of David Gemmell’s novel Troy. He references the abundance of other Troy adaptations (notably James Cameron’s Odyssey), dismisses them as unfaithful, and positions Gemmell’s version as the superior fantasy retelling. King urges viewers who enjoy the Troy saga or Gemmell’s long‑standing fantasy style to purchase the book, provides a simple high‑energy rating (“Brilliant to bollocks. Brilliant. Full send.”), and directs the audience to a link in his bio for purchase. The tone is informal, conversational, and highly enthusiastic, with a clear call‑to‑action.

G'day, g'day. Another 1-minute book review. All these books are available in a link in the bio. This one, Troy by David Gemmell. Love Gemmell stuff. You know, the James Cameron Odyssey stuff, whatever. I thought it was crap. I thought it wasn't true to the story at all. Love this guy because if you're going to read a fantasy book that's a take on a classic author, you might as well read a good version of it. And this guy does a fantastic job. So if you like the Troy saga, if you like a fantasy sci-fi writer like Gemmell is, a guy who's been around for a long, long time and is going to be here a lot longer than other people's versions of it, get you a copy of Troy. So simple rating, because everyone goes crook at me if I don't do the rating. Brilliant to bollocks. Brilliant. Full send. Link in the bio. Cheers.
