A man outlines traditional male responsibility: providing for and protecting family through practical skills like shooting, hunting, and fighting. He argues men should take any work needed, from Home Depot jobs to spiritual leadership, framing these duties as divinely assigned roles.
Chapters
A man should be able to provide for his family, protect himself, protect his family, be there when those on his inner circle need him. A man is prepared to do whatever it takes and has equipped himself to do whatever it takes to do those things. I don't think every man needs to know how to shoot a gun or hunt. I've trained myself to do those things because I want to be able to protect my family. A man should know how to fight, even if it's just putting on boxing gloves and having a go. That's important because I want to take care of my family. I believe as men we should be able to step into the gap and protect. Provide. Am I prepared to work at Home Depot to put food I believe that's part of our created being. We were given a job by the Creator in the very first, and we're called to tend the garden, take care of it. You've got to be prepared to be the spiritual head of your household in whatever form that takes. Be that prophet, be able to look to the future and say, look, this is the way I think we should walk in it.
