A remote camp gets running water for the first time. The speaker and his family installed a pump and hoses on a pontoon to fill a storage tank, then ran new piping to the main area so people can wash dishes and hands without hauling water.
Hey, so we just had a big improvement to camp. My brother just, uh, and my bungee, my sister-in-law, just got me a couple of hoses. So out here in the middle of the dams is a pontoon that runs to a pump up the far end that comes up into that big black tank. So that big black tank, then we run a pipe in here Where I showed you the other day does the shower in the shower and in where the loo is. Okay, but we just today put in this pipe, and this pipe runs. You know what? We need to just give this a go. It's on. Okay, we just put this on, and it runs all the way up. To the camp. And now, as you can see, we have water running from the tree. Now that might, that might not sound much to most folk, but to be able to wash pots and pans of a morning, wash your hands, all that sort of stuff, So that is a truly, truly beautiful sight. Speaking of beautiful sights, look at this. Isn't that just beautiful? I mean, it's really, really beautiful.
