Dr. King and Melissa, I finally finished your book. I, I couldn't put it down. It was— it spoke to me on a lot of shit because not only am I a veteran with combat PTSD, is I had a shitty life growing up too. Right. But the one thing that your book has shown me is that I'm a— I'm just as fucking resilient as you, and you are way more fucking resilient than me, Dr. John. I think it's because genetically you're an Australian. Australians are hard motherfuckers, I can tell you that. What I was now, my marriage was almost in shambles, and we're building from that now. We're still building it because not only do I have PTSD, my wife has PTSD from her sexual trauma she had. So it's like we're both fucked up people making it through this world. Your book has just helped me put so many fucking puzzle pieces into place that I'm like, okay, I know where I need to go from here because it's, it's, it's a shitty life when you have PTSD and you're trying to make it through this world. But I was good at my job. I never got in trouble. I have awards. I went to Iraq and I got a— I'm an Air Force guy that got a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal for capturing a fucking terrorist with my equipment. And I can't even go into that because that's special programs is what it's called. But I do want to end with, your book was just fucking amazing, Dr. John. Melissa, thank you for your inputs because that really fucking helped. Being able to see both sides of the coin was just fucking amazing. And I love that you shared this because I know it fucking hurt you to go down those paths and deal with that shit and have to write it down, because when you write it down, it becomes permanent. So thank you and keep pushing along. It's starting to affect me more, emotions. I've done pretty well with controlling them, but thank you for this book. Um, I'm probably— I was gonna give this book away to help somebody, but I'm probably gonna keep this book, and eventually when I get enough money, I'm gonna give it to a couple friends that I know that need it. It's just been hard, but I know I'm gonna make it through. It's just trying to get through this shit. I just gotta make decisions, and I gotta deal and own up to the things that I do. So, Dr. John King, thank you. Thank you for sharing this. It was a great book. Keep an eye on that crazy Aussie, and hopefully one day our paths will cross. We'll be able to talk about this. But keep doing what you're doing, Doctor. Doctor King, keep doing what you're doing because you're speaking to us veterans. Because a lot of my family, a lot of people I care about, male and female, have dealt with sexual assault. I mean, there's a friend of mine that I I know he has PTSD. I know he has issues. From military sexual assault in the military, and he has PTSD from military operations. But I can't talk to him because he's— I, I can't. It's so hard. But thank you. I feel like I've just spiraled way too much just talking, but I just wanted to share. Your book was good. Thank you. I'm probably gonna have to reread it a couple more times, but I wanted to give you the first thing, and I wanted to be vulnerable and just tell you. I've been racking my brain because I think I finished it at like 5 o'clock this morning, went to sleep, woke up at 8 when the wife left for work, and I've been trying to get my head together how I can say this, and I just literally just sat down and was like, I just got to do the video. So Ah, nose is running like a motherfucker. I got that fucking postnasal drip craziness going on. But I, I think what really sucked me in was that Deadpool quote, because Deadpool is the, the Marvel character with PTSD. But it still fucking does it. So yeah, love you guys. See you soon. See you soon.
