Dr. John A. King argues the heart stores emotional memories like the brain stores neural pathways. Your heart can't tell real fear from imagined fear, so horror movies trigger genuine physical reactions. By retraining your emotional responses through thought, you can reshape your life outcomes.

Did you know that your heart has a memory? Literally, it has a memory. They've done studies with heart patients and they've found that the heart and the brain have very similar neurological pathways. It's just that your heart remembers emotion. That's what your heart remembers. That's why horror movies work. Your heart can't tell the difference between what is real and what is not real. Here you are sitting there and, you know, some hand puppet comes to life and all of a sudden you're throwing popcorn everywhere. The scare works because your heart remembers the emotion of fear. You know full well that that's a hand puppet and that hand puppets can't come to life. True. So why get scared? Your heart can't tell the difference. Do you know it's the same with you? That if you train your heart, Or if you allow your heart to continue to feel and think a certain way about a certain thing, your mind won't know the difference. Your life won't know the difference. You see, thoughts are things. There are no secrets to success, just some keys that I plan to start teaching you in the coming weeks that are going to help you totally transform your life. Yeah, I know that sounds like an infomercial. But these are truths that I've had to teach myself based on some of the things that I've had to go through and overcome. I've had to totally retrain how I think, how I feel about everything, about life, about myself, about my past, about possibility and a future. And that only didn't take place here, but it had to take place here. Look forward to getting to know you and look forward to helping you succeed. Think big. There is no secret to success.
