Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation using Juvederm Voluma 3cc

Dr. Shervin Naderi demonstrates non-surgical chin augmentation with 3cc of Juvederm Voluma, injected deep onto the bone. He explains why he prefers this filler over Radiesse or implants, shows the live procedure, and emphasizes staged treatment to avoid overcorrection and fix asymmetry.

Hi, good morning. We're going to do a video of chin augmentation non surgically. So we've had a lot of requests. We do tons of fillers using Voluma radius, something thicker that's best for the chin. My preference is Juvederm Voluma, which is a hyaluronic acid based filler. It can be melted, it's softer, it's not as chalky or thick as radiesse. Alternative is obviously a chin implant. But a lot of patients don't like the commitment to a chin implant. They don't really know what size it'll be. If it's gonna to be twofold, not full enough, is it going to give them the right projection? This is customizable. You can do as much as you want. The patient's awake, they can see it, you can adjust it, make it wider, narrower, longer. Different parts can be injected to even contour it into the jawline. And I'm going to demonstrate it here. So this is Juvederm Voluma. Ready. The injection is deep. It's right onto the bone surface. We don't want to create a pointy chin, so you want to contour it. Nobody's got a symmetrical face or symmetrical chin. You want to keep those in mind. And then using fillers, you can actually improve the asymmetries. Whereas a chin implant just sits on top of your asymmetric chin and can accentuate those asymmetries. But with fillers you can actually improve it. There's a little bleeder. You just hold a little pressure. How you doing? I'm good, not terrible. So that was one syringe. I'm gonna go to the second syringe. You can see past my hand. Right. For the video. Good. I'm going to create a nice soft contour. You don't want to create a pre jowl sulcus, meaning don't make a pointy chin. But you also don't want to give too much width to a woman's face. It's a wet one. As you build up the foundation, each additional injection creates a more dramatic look. It. Do you have the other syringe? This helps the neckline, the jawline. Some patients think they have a double chin, but it's usually because of a weak chin. Whether with implants or non surgical chin augmentation. This improves this angle right there. Looking good. Good. Looks really good. How are you doing? Good, good. Uncomfortable? No. Good. The first few pokes hurt more. Right. Then it gets better. Typically I have my assistant holding a little bit of pressure. But when we videotape, we want you to be able to see unobstructed view. This looks good. This can be extended even out laterally to create a nicer jawline. That's the beauty of non surgical. There's really no downtime with this. She can get on with it. There will be some swelling. Swelling gets worse the next day. But it's really no downtime. It. Can you show her the mirror where to see it? You've never seen this before. So that was three cc's, which is less than a teaspoon. A teaspoon is five cc's, but with that three cc's, we definitely get a nice augmentation. I don't want to go overboard and do a full complete correction in one setting. It's a little too much. We're going to allow the skin. The beauty of fillers is you can slowly adjust the skin shape with an implant. It's uncomfortable for a few weeks because the skin stretches too much. With fillers, we can go little by little by little and adjust it beautifully. And you can see that the projection is better. Jawline is better. She's starting to get a nice contour there. Looks really good. Looks really good. If you give her the mirror, she can see herself. Grab the mirror in your hand, Take a look. Oh, I have chin. Chin, yes. Good. And we're going to do a little bit more later on. But this just gives you a little bit of a contour there. You can see it's not like disappearing. That's crazy. It balances out the face better. You like it? Yeah, I love it. Awesome. Good. Let's stop right.
