Hi, I'm Dr. Erica Anderson. I'm at the Nadiri center and I am focused on breast and body surgery. And today I wanted to talk a little bit about breast reconstruction in particular. It's an area that I'm very passionate about. And just to briefly talk about what breast reconstruction is. It's a term used to generalize, basically reconstructing a breast that has to be removed for typically it's breast cancer. And there's many ways that we do it. Those can include both an implant based reconstruction as well as your own tissue or a combination of the two, depending on what your goals and what your needs are. All in all, though, the process begins both with your breast oncologist as well as your plastic surgeon, and you determine what you hope to achieve with the breast reconstruction. And then we can kind of guide you what route may be best for you. But it does start with a consultation with a plastic surgeon so that we can go over the various options available. And we hope to see you at the Dadiri center to discuss breast reconstruction.
