Dr. Tabatha Barber warns that GLP-1 drugs bought online may be mislabeled, contain impurities, or have endotoxins that cause serious harm. These medications are expanding into use for children, making it crucial to get them from regulated, reputable sources only.
I think let's talk about GLP-1s because we're getting a lot of patients and clients that are on them or they're considering them. And, you know, it's a whole new world out there. We were talking before we started recording that now we're starting to use them in children and it's just like rampant, right? You can go online and buy it. You don't want to be getting some from China or Mexico. You don't actually know what you're injecting, right?
They tested some of these ones that are bought off these online sites and You're exactly right. They either don't contain what they say they do, or they contain impurities. So you have to be really careful. And one impurity would be an endotoxin. So that could be potentially very hazardous to our health. Worst case is it makes you sick.
So, oh, it's really important who you're getting it from and that somebody is knowledgeable about it.
