In this short dialogue Dr. Tabatha Barber and a co‑host discuss practical, low‑threshold strategies for people struggling with high cortisol and hormonal imbalance. They stress that healing starts with loving your body and taking tiny, consistent actions rather than waiting for a miracle. Key recommendations include: (1) "baby‑step" mindset to gradually introduce changes; (2) eating protein first thing in the morning—even if not hungry—to jump‑start metabolism; (3) using an electrolyte supplement before bed and again upon waking, especially for those with genetic mutations affecting mineral balance; (4) taking brief outdoor walks to breathe fresh air and reset bodily vibration; and (5) listening to Christian worship music, which they claim alters cellular vibration and reinforces positive scripture throughout the day. The conversation blends physiological advice with spiritual encouragement, positioning these habits as a holistic routine for reducing cortisol overload and supporting hormonal health.

I know I always say you cannot heal a body you hate. You have to start to work together and love it to change, right? You're talking about small little changes, and I really want everyone watching to hear this because we think it has to be some big miraculous thing that we have to do. When you are like in cortisol overdrive or you flatline because you're at that point where your cortisol is just on. In the ground, right? You cannot handle that. You have to baby step your way into these changes, right?
I think one of the biggest things people who have high cortisol levels or imbalanced hormone levels, you're gonna wake up in the morning not hungry. So what I would encourage you to do is eat protein first thing in the morning. A lot of us are completely running with nothing on fumes, and so the very first thing you do is you go drive through, you know, your coffee shop drive-through, or you go grab an energy drink, or you go Make yourself a cup of coffee in the kitchen, but eat protein first. Make sure even if you're not hungry, eat protein first so your body has something to begin your metabolism, so that your body has something to fuel itself for the day. I would encourage you to find an electrolyte that you love to replace the minerals that your body loses while you're sleeping. I even take an electrolyte before I go to bed. I have. Multiple genetic mutations, um, and so it's really important for me to drink the electrolytes before I go to bed, and then I drink them as soon as I get up again. Sometimes it might just be walking outside your front door and walking down the driveway and walking back just to breathe in some fresh air. I'm also a huge believer in worship music, and I feel like we can go further if we're listening to Praising Jesus music in our headset, right?
Like, at a cellular level, our vibration changes, and those songs get stuck in your head. So then you're like singing those scriptures and those words over yourself the rest of the day.
That was one thing that I did shift as I began walking in my healing journey. I don't listen to any music other than Christian music. And I don't know if you've heard that song by Elevation Worship, More Than Able. Um, And I listen to it now. I go through different seasons of my life where I'll kind of pick a song. For a while it was Build a Boat, now it's More Than Able.
