Dr. Tabatha Barber and a co-speaker discuss how women can build a healthier relationship with food by evaluating their current patterns and reframing past behaviors as chances for self-connection. They argue weight is often a symptom, not the core problem.
Where do women even begin to start?
I mean, do.
You recommend that they evaluate their relationship with food? Is that where that starts?
If we look at it from I've been doing that. That story. Right. I've been doing all these things, and they're not working. And we look at that from, okay, this is a bad thing. Rather than, oh, I get to experience my body, and I get to have a whole new relationship with my body and. And what I have found for myself and for others, that this gives an opportunity for a deeper listening, a deeper way of connecting to ourselves, knowing ourselves more, rather than, this is just what I've always done. It's not about the weight. It's about that the weight is often a symptom.
