Three people discuss why older generations matter. Speaker A feels surprised to be called wise. Speaker C lost her mother and now wants to learn from someone named Terri, wishing society did more to connect people across different ages.
She was like, I love that. Okay. And yes, I was. And I was thrilled because I thought, okay, I'm the old woman in the whole bunch. Nobody's going to want— nobody's going to want to do this with me. Oh no. But you're wise.
You're so wise.
And that is something that I feel like as a culture, like we're failing in, is the intergenerational. So my mom passed away like 7 years ago, and I really miss having somebody in a different season. We— it's so easy for us to connect with people in similar our seasons, but it's harder for us to grow and to learn when everyone's experiencing the same thing. So I was like, Terri, I want to learn from you. Oh my gosh.
