Tirzepatide works better than semaglutide (Ozempic) because it causes fewer stomach problems, and a newer drug called retatrutide is coming that may prevent muscle loss. Don't buy these from sketchy online sources.
I love— that's such a great point because that's what people— they think it's a quick fix and that's why they go on them, but they didn't fix anything else. And now you either have to pay for that the rest of your life or you have to figure out how to get off of it and do it right the next time. So, and we're talking about like Ozempic, semaglutide, tirzepatide. Can you explain the differences and why there's so many of these GLP-1s?
Well, like anything that comes out, so the first, you know, 1.0 was the, even there were others before semaglutide that I'd utilize, and I've even forgotten their names, 'cause we don't even rely on them. And actually, I don't use semaglutide. It does, in my humble opinion, carry the most GI side effects. And so I've gone mostly to tirzepatide, and there is one that's, you know, being researched now, retatrutide. Which will come out, so I can come back on again when that's released officially. It is, you know, for sale all over the internet, but I would say wait and get a reputable source of that. That's actually showing a lot of promise, and so it may negate some of the muscle loss we're seeing. And so there's so many of them, because some of them, it's just a different name. So you're using the generic versus the different brand name. Some of it is they've gone from 1.0 to 2.0, and now soon it'll be 3.0 with the retatrutide.
Okay, so they're just trying to, to keep the benefits but mitigate the side effects and lessen them.
