I had this radical and real encounter with God at a Christian summer camp, and it wasn't like the Friday night boohoo fest where they're like, you're going back to the world, give your life to Jesus, right? Playing the guitar, you got bug spray in your mouth. Uh, but it was like a Wednesday night worship session where I just had this, this very honest moment with God for the first time in my life, really, where I was just like, God, I feel like when I'm here and I'm in your presence and I'm learning about you and I'm pursuing you, that I actually feel full of hope, that I actually feel full of joy, that I actually am experiencing peace. But when I'm out there and just going about life, I just— I, I can't do it. I can't do it anymore. And I had this encounter with the Lord where he told me like, hey, like, I'm your perfect and present Father who loves you. Like, you can trust me. And so at that moment when I gave my life to him, that's when my life completely changed.
