A short YouTube transcript (shorts) featuring two speakers addressing body image and negative self-talk. They argue that persistent self-criticism—phrases like “I’m so fat” or “I hate my body”—prevents healing, and advocate changing internal narratives; one speaker references Romans 8:1 as part of the message.
What does that mean? Like, you talk to yourself and you say things like, I'm so fat. I hate my body. I need to fix this. This is a problem right here. Right. You can relate to that.
Yeah.
And so we're not coming from a place of love. It's just, like, downright guilt or shame for being. Having the body that we have and how we got here. So there's a lot to unpack around that. But I think it's important to realize that you cannot heal a body that you're constantly criticizing. So we have to start with changing the narrative that's happening in our head and what we're saying to ourselves. And I would love for you to share Romans 8:1, because I think it's really important.
Yeah. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Jesus Christ. Shame is not a strategy for transformation. And I think you. You said this, but I. You always say it like this. You cannot heal a body you hate. And I think it's so important to stop hating your body.
