A guide to fasting for women, starting with a shift to higher-fat eating and intermittent fasting, then progressing to multi-day water fasts. The speaker claims fasting restores metabolic flexibility, boosts energy and mental clarity, and triggers mitochondrial repair at the cellular level.

Fasting is so powerful not only to regulate your blood sugar, to deplete all the stored sugar in your liver, the fatty liver, but to get those mitochondria working again. And so people think, oh my gosh, if I fast, I'm going to be exhausted, I'm going to be miserable. But it's actually the opposite. They like, feel so much better, they get mental clarity, they get energy they didn't have before, and they really just start to shift how they feel, how they function. And the, the caveat is you probably can't go from the SAD diet, the standard American diet, eating all the box and bagged food, the deep fried food, all that, to fasting for three days. Like, you will feel terrible. You don't have that metabolic flexibility to shift from sugar burner to fat burner. Your body knows how to do that. You just have to remind it. And so what I teach women in my Fast to Faith Person program is how do we go into fat burning mode? And what we do is we start eating more fats, we remind our body how to burn fat for fuel. You get into a more ketogenic diet, you get rid of some of those carbohydrates and those sugars, you break up with snacks, you shrink your eating window, you do a dinner to dinner fast. And then you start to realize, oh, I can do this. I actually feel really amazing and good. And then you have a feast day and replenish your stores, and then you can go on to do a three day or a five day water fast and really do that deeper cleaning work of getting rid of all your broken cells and DNA and helping those mitochondria repair and regenerate. And so I just, I would encourage women, don't be afraid of fasting. It is actually our superpower from God. It's how we activate the healing processes in our body.
