Progesterone. That is the hormone that naturally gets produced in our bodies, in our ovaries, when we ovulate, and a little bit from our adrenal glands. Progesterone. I think of it like keeping estrogen in check. Estrogen is a growth hormone. It helps the lining inside your uterus grow every month. In case you fertilize an egg and want that egg to implant in the uterus, you need the growth in that lining from the estro. Progesterone keeps that growth in check. It prevents it from over growing, keeps a nice, level, even playing field.
