A woman shares how a 40-day faith program shifted her approach to health and stress. After healing her gut physically, she invited God into the process through lectio divina and Scripture, replacing wine and worry with stillness and prayer while managing a full-time job and three kids.

The 40 day program came at a time when I had just gone through healing my gut, focusing on going through healing, adding the supplements in and starting to feel really, you know, good. But there was just some missing pieces there fast of faith came out. It was just like that missing piece of adding the faith piece into it. Because I've always had a relationship with God, but at the same time I wasn't inviting him into like those areas of my life. I would pray for my family and my children, but I never thought about using him as like a source for like my health. And me was working full time, trying to be the best wife I could be, raising three kids and just pouring so much into them that I was just depleting myself completely. And there were so many times that I just, I was worn out, I was stressed out. I, you know, I would get through the day and I would have wine instead of, you know, turning to, you know, the word. And I just, you know, I was coping. And then as I started to really heal and then doing like the lectio divina, the future gazing, just shifting my mindset and even the way I spoke to myself and even still, like the way, you know, the words and thoughts that I'm putting in my head and how I speak, you know, around others about myself, just, you know, giving it all to him and then just trying to be still and listen to what he's trying to tell me. And that's what I love like about, you know, the lectio divina.
