Dylan Patel explores how aging populations in wealthy countries are sitting on massive housing wealth. He proposes a radical shift: retirees could sell their houses and funnel that money into data center investments, using life insurance to fund the buildouts.
It's an interesting balance because there's a lot, there is a lot of conversation in, you know, advanced economies that there's an inversion in the age pyramid as many people live longer and retire and are building up this wealth for retirement. But they're— They can spend it on data centers. Less people having kids.
You can spend it on data centers. You can spend it on data centers, dude. And then, and then importantly, the boomers who, you know, left such a bad lasting—
Okay, boomers, right? You can nail some of those people. Sell the house, right? Take that cash. You want to buy some life insurance policies, and those are going to fund the data center buildout. So we're trading houses for data centers, right?
And even better, it takes away your job at the end too.
