Ed BugosRFK thinks it laughable to call what israel is doing in Gaza genocide. My dictionary says it means "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group." Now you may quibble whether that is what we are seeing, but only a Retarded Fucking Kennedy would call it laughable.
"...a call to the American people to have a platform of dialogue directly with the Iranian people."
Sam Altman, Elon Musk and Demis Hassabis are calling for stronger safety constraints and regulatory oversight on AI. They are exploiting your fear about it. The regulations will slow down its development while raising costs and restricting competition as regulatioms always do. This is how monoplolies aee made people, with the help of the state. The market system does not produce them naturally. Besides slowing progress and popping the AI bubble, if they succeed, they will have protected their lead in development, and wil be sharing its fruits with the government. And government does not aim at user-consumer satisfaction, it aims at controlling and manipulating them. The playbook being used here is the same one that produced all of america's cartels, and why we have so much cronyism. Competition and the bottom line is the best way to regulate the quality and objective of consumer goods, and that goes for AI as well.
The AI scare has gained momentum, makes me wonder if humans are worth saving. They are such fearful creatures and so much evil comes just from that. Of course they want to scare you about it. They dont want it in everybody's hands. It would disrupt their systems of control and oppression. Banning or outlawing it will make sure that only governments will have use of it. And we know nothing could go wrong with that.
Someone really needs to show those assholes why 4% gdp growth, even if attainable over the long run, would not work without massive spending cuts and a budget surplus, and even so, that would take decades. The debt jas grown an average 8% per year over the last decade, ffs! The quickest way out of this is spending cuts and liquidation of public sector assets - opposite of what they are doing. Bessents math is fuzzy and utopian, and what it really says is they arent taking it seriously.
Why cant Trump aim his authoritarian impulses at the right goals. Govt spending, to lower taxes, shrink govt rules and regs, destroy departments, end the fed, etc. Instead he is using it to make the fed inflate, make enemies out of trading partners, boost the warmongers, increase taxes and spending, intervene in the domestic economy suppress free speech, and so on. This is so obvious that it absolutely blows away the argument for change through the political means. If people on the so called right cant tell the difference between forward and backward, or even agree on what made america great in the past, seems like all the evidence we need to abandon the political means as the growing membership of libertarian and anarcho capitalists have long argued. That you cant see a way forward to our goals that excludes politics or any initiatory violence says more about your lacking creativity and understanding than anything else. It is time for mass civil disobedience and tax revolt.
