Nadine Irby came to Life Chiropractic Clinic using a cane due to fibromyalgia, nerve damage, and arthritis. After six months of treatment she stopped using the cane, and after five years she's practically pain-free. Dr. Yvette Edwards stresses that a fibromyalgia diagnosis doesn't have to be permanent.

Good afternoon everyone, this is Dr. Yvette Edwards again here with you, and we have Miss Nadine Irby today, and she's been here with me for a long time, and she said she didn't want to just do a testimonial, she'd rather me ask her some questions. So here we go, I'm going to ask her some questions and she's going to tell us how her care has been here since she's been at Life Chiropractic. Miss Irby. Yes. So how long have you been at Life Chiropractic Clinic? I think till 2013. 2013. And what brought you here?
Um, actually, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, nerve damage, and, you know, all those little things combined, arthritis. And I literally came here on a cane. Um, yes, she did.
I remember that.
Yes.
And very young and beautiful, but she was on a cane.
Yeah. And I was so distraught because I'm like, I'm too young is what's really going on with me. And now, lo and behold, being here, what, 5 years later, and I'm cane-free and practically pain-free, but, and thanks to Dr. Edwards and her care.
How long did it take for us to get you off the cane? About 6 months. About 6 months. And how long had you been on the cane before that?
Probably about 3 months.
About 3 months. So recovery is possible, and especially with like Miss Irby, if we do it as early as we can, get in here. And just because you get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia or any other algias, it doesn't mean it's a life sentence. It can be changed. And I'm just grateful for having met you, and I'm grateful for you allowing me to take care of you. And I've seen a couple folks in your family too, am I right?
Yes, you have.
My daughter and my granddaughter and a couple of friends have came here to see Dr. Edwards as well.
So it's been really, really a great experience. She's a very beautiful person as well as her staff. And she's not just a doc, she's kind of my friend. She kind of kicks me in the tail and tells me, yeah, she's a good spiritual advisor.
Everybody needs a kick in the tail sometimes to get back on the boat. But, uh, I'm just grateful for her, for her family, and I'm most grateful that she's feeling better. Oh, yes.
Thank you.
So thanks again, Miss Irvie. We appreciate you. We love you. I love you too. Thanks, Doc.
