Elay Amitay Halevi teaches that highly evolved souls sometimes have low-consciousness parents as spiritual protection. Abraham is cited as an example. The difficult relationship may be arranged by the Creator so the soul can fulfill its purpose without interference.
The sages share that sometimes the highest purest souls are born to the most negative or lowest consciousness parents. We know this from Abraham, the father of the major religions and spiritual paths. Four thousand years ago, one of the highest souls to ever come to this world was born from one of the most negative people in the world at the time. There is a spiritual law that negative forces will always latch onto or attach to any person who reveals great light who has high consciousness, because the negative forces feed off of that light. If negativity is constantly attacking you, take it as a compliment, as it means you have a great source soul with much to reveal. The Creator, when he wants a great soul to be born, will often trick the negative side by sending that soul down to negative parents. The negative forces are not anticipating a great soul to be born to negative parents. So in many ways there is a default protection for souls born to those parents. This too is a form of concealment by the Creator. If you feel that you harbor negativity towards your parents for who they were or how they raised you, know that you may be the high soul that the Creator sent and your parents were in fact your greatest protectors.
