Your brain may be sabotaging your money because you've linked wealth to corruption. Watching rich people act against the collective good teaches your subconscious that money is icky, so you avoid seeking it even if you don't consciously believe that.
Chapters
some of the most powerful people in this world are the people who have the most money, and the people who have the most money often are not using that money for good, for the collective good of humanity. And so our brains are like association machines. They do this subconsciously. They'll just go, okay, if the richest, wealthiest people are corrupt, then wealth equals corruption. And that's what creates that negative association to money internally. 'If money corrupts people, then having more money could make me bad too. I don't want to be in that club. I don't see myself as that type of person, so I don't want money.' Now, that's not something you consciously say, but deep down inside it is happening in your unconscious, deep in your subconscious, right? And this is why money can feel icky, and we don't know why.
