Learn to accept your pain

Elay Amitay Halevi describes a pattern from his 12-week coaching program: clients break through around weeks 5-6, then hit a wall at weeks 8-10 when old fears resurface. Accepting these setbacks instead of fighting them actually speeds up your progress.

I've had so many amazing clients come to me now and we have been doing a 12 week coaching program. Typically what happens is we get to around week five, week six, and we start making progress, we start having like breakthroughs in reality. We start letting things go. The identity starts shifting. You know, new perspectives are opening up, new ideas are coming to life, new actions are being taken. Everything is moving and groovy and great. And then what happens? Then the unconscious part of this client or this person that is scared of this next level or that is deeply insecure because they were bullied in school about being online or whatever it is, these old fears and triggers and wounds start coming up because the old identity is threatened. So what happens then? Around week eight, week nine, week ten, all of a sudden the client feels like, I'm really insecure. I feel like my old self. I feel like how I felt when I was a teenager. I haven't felt as bad in so long. It's not you, it's a part of you that's coming up to be cleared. Every single person, without fail, including myself. Even to this day. I have like a moment where I go, why is this happening? Why is this coming up? Why do I feel so bad? I don't want to feel like this. Everybody freaks out when this happens. If you could just stop resisting and stop freaking out, you would be free. If you could accept that this is a part of the human experience, if you could accept that so long as you continue to grow, you're going to have this stuff come to the surface, you would be able to move through it and you would be able to grow so much faster.
