A method for processing difficult emotions by tuning into bodily sensations, sitting with the feeling, and temporarily embodying it to experience it fully. The practice is brief but demands courage and honest self-reflection to reconcile with what you find.

Shadow work is actually quite straightforward. Tune into the body, pull out the part that feels like painful or heavy or whatever the emotion is, wherever that feels like it is in the body. Sit with it, let it speak, let it purge, let it process. Sometimes you can drop into that version of you so you can feel the emotions more fully, and then you come back and you reconcile, you reassure, you tell them everything they need to hear to feel safe letting this go, and then you give them something new to focus on. That's the whole process that I do with people. It doesn't take a long time. It just takes courage. It just takes having the courage to be honest with yourself.
