Elay Amitay Halevi explains why adults recreate childhood relationship pain: your soul keeps repeating the pattern to heal what was left frozen. Why do I keep ending up in relationships that repeat the same pain from my childhood? When we were children, we didn't have the tools, the awareness or the power to process certain experiences. The inconsistency we experienced because maybe our parents were too busy. Those wounds get frozen in time and frozen in our spiritual DNA. As adults, we subconsciously recreate situations that feel similar to what we had when we were children. And it's not because we're trying to suffer or punish ourselves. But the soul is trying to finally bring light into something that was originally too overwhelming. Here are three steps to shift this first, become aware of the pattern without judging yourself. Observe it from afar. Second, instead of reacting from the wounded child, what would it be like to respond from your highest perfected self, the part of you that is calm, that is grounded and connected to an energy of wholeness? And third, give yourself the love, the validation and the boundaries that you were missing when you were a child.
