The Two Ego Traps That Block Every Miracle

I was talking recently about how we can shift destinies. And we all have different challenges that we're going through in our lives. There are goals that we have, blessings that we want to receive, miracles that we want to achieve. The question is, What do we need to do to make that reality a reality? What do we need to do to be able to bring that abundance in? You might have a goal right now around wealth creation. You might have a goal around either acquiring a relationship, finding love, or maybe strengthening the one you have now. You might have a personal goal around your health. You're trying to overcome something right now. Or simply to live a healthier life. And we all think these goals are somewhere far away, maybe a few days away, a few weeks away, for some people a few years away. And we're wondering, what do we need to do to be able to manifest them? And everyone in this world has an opinion, of course. Everyone's telling us about the way we should work. We should work hard, we should sacrifice, We should overcome certain things in order to receive those gifts. And what I really wanted to talk about here is what the sages explain, and that is the spiritual point of view of being able to access this realm of miracles. We've said this before, and it is a universal law that if you desire it, it means it exists, causing you to to want it. It also means that the Creator wants to reveal it to you. So we'll never have a desire instilled within us that wasn't instilled by the Creator, because the Creator wants to give it to you. And I'm going to read here actually from the ancient text of Rav Ashlag, one of the greatest sages of our generation, where he makes clear exactly what is happening and what we need to do to create the vessel to receive our blessings. And when we learn this one concept, something should open up in our mind that will help us realize we don't need to be working as hard as maybe we are. We don't need to suffer. We don't need to sacrifice as much as we think we do in order to receive. It's actually much simpler. And the wisdom of Kabbalah is designed to help us create miracles without pain and suffering. I will read the exact words and then I will decodify it for us. It says here, "A person has a desire to receive.

This is called the Kelim, the vessel, the Kli.

And it is your desire to receive that wants this energy." What is the energy that you want? We call it the Creator, sometimes we call it the Light of the Creator. Rav Ashag calls it the Ein Sof, the endless Light. So when you say you want something, even when you say, for example, you want a glass of water, it's not really the water that you want, it is the endless Light that has become diminished into this vessel that is called water. There's an exercise that I do with my children every night, and every night they look forward actually to this. I'm very excited because I did not think they would like it. I'm trying to find a way to teach them spiritual concepts. They're 8, 7, and 2 5-year-olds, twins. But I've started to share with them a message of spirituality for kids, which is, they learned the example this week that they like chocolate, for example. They love chocolate. So I asked them, what do you want? If there's anything I could give you, what is it? And so of course they said things like chocolate. They said they want their iPad all day long because they They don't get to use their iPad, obviously, all day long. That was it, candy, chocolate, and iPad. And I said, "Okay, what if I gave you chocolate all day long? In fact, no other food but chocolate, breakfast, lunch, and dinner?" They're like, "That would be amazing." I said, "Would it? Think about it for a moment. That's all you can eat from now on, chocolate. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, chocolate. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, chocolate every day." So my oldest said, "I think I'd get sick of chocolate." So I said, "Is it the chocolate that you want, or is it the way that the chocolate makes you feel?" So he said, "It's the way the chocolate makes me feel." I said, "Do you know that that feeling that you have is coming from an energy? It's not coming from the chocolate." And he said, "Where is it coming from?" And I said, "It's coming from the Light of the Creator." So he said, "Why is it then, if the Light of the Creator is in the chocolate, why is it that I stop enjoying the chocolate after a while?" I said, "That's the question you should be asking." So the children are starting to learn that it is not the vessel they are chasing. It is not the chocolate, it is not the iPad. Because I have learned that everything that I give to my children, eventually they get sick of it. Think about the greatest relationship you could possibly have. Your ideal man, your ideal woman, and maybe there's even somebody out there that you think to yourself, I wish I could be with that person. This person. And then I can guarantee, I can guarantee you that if you started to date this person, spend time with this person, it would be very exciting, very enjoyable. It probably would be everything you thought it would be and more for the first 3 to 6 months. Then after that, you would argue with this person, you would fight with this person, you would be annoyed by this person, you would expect more from this person, as it happens in every relationship, doesn't it? Every relationship, eventually, there's problems. Do you still appreciate that person as if you did in the beginning?

Of course not.

So it is not the person that you want to be with, it is the Light that emanates through the person. Now, here's the question. Is it the person that's the issue? Is it the chocolate that's the issue? It is never that thing, as Rav Ashag says here. He says, This endless Light wants to come through. Because the Creator wants to do good to His creation, the Creator wants to do good to you. So there is no limit to how much the Creator, G-d, the Light wants to give you. There is no limit. So really understand, there is no limit to how much this universe wants to give to you. We think there is a limit. We think there is some level of scarcity. There is not enough money, there is not enough love, there is not enough time, there is not enough energy, I don't have enough energy, people are bad, people want something from me, everyone's out to get me. This is how we think. But he's saying, no, the Creator actually, every day, every day is thinking, how do I give more to you? How do I sneak more fulfillment, more love? Looking for ways. We, we as the vessel, have a limitation. And it says, When a person desires to receive the endless Light, the endless Light has to go through many different covers until that endless Light is diminished to such an extent that you, the vessel, have the ability to receive it. So think of like the sun. It is a positive force, but how many— what does the sun have to go through? Layers of even the ozone to diminish its power and energy so that we can receive it. Because if the sun was clearly revealed to us with no limitation, with nothing in between to limit its power, we would be burned. So obviously a good thing can burn us, and the endless Light would burn all of us if we actually all received the totality of all the things that we want and the totality of this energy into our current vessel. What is our current vessel? It's the way you think, it's the way you feel, it's your belief systems. All of that make your vessel. If you believe, for example, that you have to suffer to be successful, that's a type of vessel. That means that even if the Light wanted to give you everything, you're saying, "No, no, no, I cannot have everything, at least not until I suffer a lot." So the Light says, "Okay, well, I have to adapt to what you believe." That's your vessel. So instead of giving you blessings right now at this moment. I have to create this, like, fake movie. I have to bring in actors for this movie for the next 3 months so that you suffer, so that then I can give you the fulfillment, so that it is according to your will. It's according to your belief system. Someone else who says, oh, I don't have to suffer to be successful. I just have to be like the light. I just have to expand the way I think. Just one second, one moment, a shift in consciousness, that person is able to avoid those 3 months of suffering that you had to go through. And the same exact blessing will come to them in one second that took you 3 months. One person's vessel is ready to receive it, the other person says, "Well, I have to suffer before I receive it," and so that is your movie. And it says here that, All the discernments that we see in this world and all the changes do not exist in the Light. The Light does not change. The Light is endless and always there to give to you. So even though we see, for example, we have daytime and nighttime, if we had to compare the sun to the Creator, at nighttime, does it mean that the sun is no longer there? Did the sun change anything? When it is dark, when you go outside, you are going outside your house, maybe you are listening to this podcast right now at nighttime. Did the sun change anything? Did the sun leave you? No, the sun actually has not changed at all.

Nothing.

Nothing has changed from even 10 hours ago when it was daytime. All that has changed is your perception of the sun, is your vessel relative to the sun. But the sun itself never changed. And that is what is happening every day with the Creator. One day you have money, The next day you don't have money. "Oh, but the stock market went down." "The business deal fell apart." "I lost the lawsuit, and so now I have to pay, I don't have money." But yesterday you had money, and today you don't have money? Impossible. The Light never changes. So why is it that when I look at my bank account, I see no money? It's an illusion. That's your test. Your test is to look at your bank account, yesterday there was $50,000, and today there's nothing. Your job, your spiritual test, is to say, that is an illusion. The $50,000 is there. What do you mean?

You had to pay it yesterday.

You lost it. Somebody stole it from you. Somebody took it. The deal fell apart. You were just in a relationship for years, a loving one. You thought it would last, and now they left you. Today you are alone. You are single. What happened? Was the light never there? You were in love yesterday, today you are not in love, it is an illusion. It is a total test. That is your spiritual test. By the way, that is the only reason your soul came to this world, to overcome the illusion. So you need to be shown an illusion. What is an illusion? I had it one day, I do not have it today. They liked me yesterday, they do not like me today. Do they really not like you?

Yeah, because look, they are all speaking badly about me, so obviously they do not like me.

It's an illusion. Don't react. Don't react. Don't react. Don't think that you lost something because how do we know?

It's not.

But it's nighttime. Look how dark it is. Look how painful it is. Look at my bank account. Look at my love life. Look how old I am. Look at my situation. I'm a single dad. I'm a single mom. I have debts. Tell my— "Tell my bill collector, tell my landlord that it's an illusion. He's asking for payment for my rent this week, I don't have it. You want me to go and tell him it's an illusion?" Well, let me tell you, there was a time in my life that I was 6 months behind in rent. And yeah, in my mind, the moment I stopped thinking I was 6 months behind in rent, and the moment I stopped thinking that I lost something or I don't have something, the moment I started to think like a billionaire, I'm literally telling you, the moment I thought, I acted, I smiled like a billionaire. I talked like a billionaire. I walked like a billionaire. I don't know what happened at that moment. I just know that 7 days later, from the moment I made that shift in my consciousness, the idea to create a vitamin company came. There was no idea like that before. There was no dream to create a vitamin company. There was no thought that one day we'd create a vitamin company. But that came 7 days after I stopped believing in the illusion of lack and pain. Now, I know there's a lot of people saying, well, I don't believe that, or that wouldn't apply to me. My situation really is shitty. It's actually a really shitty situation. And I'm sure you said you've heard this before, and you've listened to all these Instagram carousels and reels that everyone's creating with the same type of messaging saying, eh, just push through, and it's an illusion, and it's a message. And you're like, no, my life is still the same after 5 years, 10 years, 20 years. Nice of you to say it. But my life hasn't changed. I've lived in darkness for all this time. If you've— if it's still dark for you and not light, even after all these years of doing the work, there's only one explanation, and that is that the work has not been done. Maybe you did 90% of the work, but there's still 10% of a belief system you're holding on to. And I'm sure if I sat with you or you poured your heart out to David A.I. and you said, here's my situation and here's my goal and I'm not there yet, he'd find even where the limitation is. I know if I sat with you, I'd find probably the limitation. I'm sure if someone sat with me, they're going to be able to find my limitations that I don't even see. And it's a hard thing to accept, but If the miracle has not occurred, if your situation has not changed, if your desire has not been fulfilled, it has nothing to do with the Light. It has nothing to do with anybody out there. You may not be to blame, but you are responsible for your vessel. That's what Rav Ashlag is saying here. He says there is no change in the Light of the Creator, there is only change in the vessel. So I ask you, what has changed in your vessel that you have less today? What has changed in your mindset? Were you more open before and you're less today? Are you more jaded today, but in the past you were just so, so innocent about life? So optimistic about life? Do you find yourself complaining more today? Do you find yourself being a little bit more sarcastic in your relationship today? Do you find that you are more afraid of people hurting you? People taking advantage of you? Do you walk on the streets of your city wondering if someone's going to rob you, and before you were walking with confidence and strength? Do you walk into rooms, into business meetings, into events and parties with more insecurity today because maybe you don't look the way you used to, or you don't feel the way you used to, you don't feel as confident? Or are you the opposite?

There's two types of ego.

There's the ego of, I'm not good enough. And then there's the ego, I'm better than everybody. If you're walking into these rooms thinking you know more, you're better than everyone, it's also a sign that your vessel is not ready to receive the Light of the Creator. See, there's a curve of wisdom. There are always two types of people. Who think that they know more than you. It's the people who just never learn at all.

So they don't know what they don't know, and they automatically will assume they're better than you, or they could do it better than you. It reminds me of before I had kids, and I would look at the way other parents parent their children, and I would say, look at that.

I would be so different with my children.

I would never let my children talk like that, act like that, behave like that. And then, of course, when you become a parent, you realize all that was bullshit.

And in fact, it's even worse in your situation because you think you know until you go through it. That's one type of ego. And let me tell you, whenever we have that ego, the universe then kicks into gear and breaks that ego no matter what. As soon as you think you know better, you eat better, you diet better, you peptide better. You travel better, you spend better, you learn better, you love better, you parent better. Every time you think you do it better than everybody else, then the universe has to recreate a new destiny for you to show you that it is not true. And there's a reason for that. It's not just to punish you. It's because that this world is always moving towards a place of unity, because the Creator is unity. The Creator is unified. So when we think we're better than someone else, we have a lack of unity, whether we realize it or not. And so the universe then has to insert a little movie, maybe a week long, a day long, an hour long, who knows, to break our ego and realize, wow, I didn't know as much as I thought. I'm so sorry. I have empathy now.

Let's be unified. Okay?

The moment you think that someone else is running their business poorly is the moment your business starts to have cash flow issues. The moment you think that this person is not taking care of their body and not eating well, that's the moment your metabolism slows down because Everything then must become equal eventually. That is the whole point of the spiritual path, to bring us to a place of unity. And then we start to learn. And the people who truly learn spirituality, learn wisdom, truly, you begin to really learn, not just surface level, not just, you know, I heard the first 12 minutes of a podcast. Everyone listens to podcasts the way they eat muffins, just the muffin top. I hear the first 5, 10 minutes, I'm good, and that's it. No one's really going deep much in anything these days, by the way, myself included. It's very difficult to go deep. That is why it is important to pick one thing, at least in your life, that you go very deep. For me, it is Kabbalah. Can I go deep into everything? Can I go deep into Hinduism and Buddhism and Islam and different religions and all these different paths? I cannot, because no person really can.

You have to pick a lane that you go very deep in.

And what happens when you go very deep? You begin to learn. There's a moment, there's an inflection point that you realize, wow, there's so much actually I don't know.

And you become incredibly humbled.

For every one thing you learn, you realize there's 10 more things you don't know. And then you learn something else and there's 10 more things you don't know. And then you learn something and then you realize, wow, it is endless how much I don't know. And then you become humbled. And then you become a vessel to receive wisdom. So what is the summary of everything I'm sharing with you? How do you become a vessel to receive the things you want in your life? And it is either the delay that we are experiencing in any part of our life has to do with one of two things. Either we think we're worse than and we don't deserve, or we think we're better than. And in either case, there will be a delay. Where in your life do you think you don't deserve? Where in your life do you think you don't deserve a certain amount of wealth, a certain amount of success, popularity, attention? There are some people who are so allergic to attention that subconsciously they are sabotaging the growth of their company or the growth of their platform or the growth of anything good in their life because subconsciously they don't want attention. So you are limiting.

You're limiting the ability to receive.

And then there's the people who simply think that they are better than everyone and they know how to do things better. And so there's always this subliminal messaging of division. I am different than you. I have a better spirituality than you. I have a better religion than you. I am a better parent than you. I am a better businessman than you, because look at what I created. It is very hard. You say, look what I created, you did not create it, I must be better than you. And the Creator says, ah, now I have to diminish, now this person does not have the vessel to receive. Because a vessel to receive, ratzon, means desire. It is the same letters as sinor, which means a channel, a vessel. So you have to convert your ratzon to become a sinor. Same letters, same energy. Ratson teTzinoor, my desire to become a channel. How do you become a channel? You have no attachment. You don't think you're better, you don't think you're worse, you're just here to serve the Light of the Creator. And what does that mean, to serve the Light of the Creator? It sounds so religious. Serving the Light of the Creator means that you can receive from the Light. Your relationship with G-d is the same as a child's relationship with their parent. What does every parent want from their children? To be able to receive from them. Isn't that what you want? You know, I saw my 7-year-old, my middle child, I always talk about him. It's always the middle child. He had his backpack packed, and then he opened up his backpack and I saw him sliding in some objects. I walked over, I said, "What are you doing?" And he had this face like he got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. And he said, "Nothing." I said, "Oh, what did you put in your backpack?" I said, "Open it up. Let me see." He opens up his backpack and I see 3 very well-packaged brand new toys. And I said, "Why do you have 3 brand new toys that we bought for you in your backpack? Like, why are you taking that to school? And they're not even open. So he said to me, do you remember the other week I said to you, Daddy, I want to make money? Because I want— he wants to make money because he thinks he's going to have freedom by making his own money and buying his own things, because he doesn't get to have that. His parents don't just buy him everything. So I said, yes. He said, well, you told me to figure out a way to make money. I said, yes. He said, okay, so I'm taking these toys and I'm going to sell them to the kids in school. Now let me tell you something. I don't know if he's allowed to do that. I don't know if it's against school policy, but you better damn believe that I was very proud to hear that.

I was like, wow.

I said, wait, how much are you going to sell it for? He's like, I'm thinking about it. I don't know how much the kids will pay, but I'm going to start at $2. And I said, that's pretty smart because your cost on this was zero because we bought it for you.

And he said, yeah.

I said, "That's very smart. Well," I said, "let me know how that goes." Now, why did I feel so proud? Because he received from me whatever knowledge or wisdom I was trying to impart to him. It's the greatest thing a child can do to serve their parents is to receive their wisdom and to manifest it. And so when we say serve the Creator, What are we saying? We're saying receive from the Creator. The greatest gift you can give to creation, to the universe, to G-d, is to receive. Is to become a vessel where the receiving is allowed. The receiving is blessed. What do I mean by the receiving is blessed? It means that the whole world agrees that you should receive it, as opposed to the whole world being angry that you received it. When it comes to promoting people in our company, I remember once I had a person who wanted to be the president of the company. That person wasn't at the level of president yet. And I said, and he said to me, "How can I become the president of the company?" I said, "Listen, when you get to a place where the 5 other executives come to me and say, 'We must have this person as our president.' In fact, they are so adamant about you being their boss, their leader, that they even threaten to leave if we don't make you the leader, that's the level where I know that you are ready to be the president. Meaning that you receiving the presidency title is blessed by everyone, and it is chosen by everyone. Because if you take a position that the other executives don't feel you deserve, don't feel like you've worked for, don't feel that you can handle, then the whole company falls apart. And the whole creation would fall apart if you took something from this creation and you weren't ready to receive it. It's a very deep concept. It's a very deep concept. So it is our spiritual responsibility to prepare our vessel. Stop trying to convince everyone to do things. Love you, convincing other people to love you, convincing other people to give to you, convincing other people that they're wrong and they got it wrong, because you're really trying to convince G-d that He got it wrong. The creation is perfect. The Light is perfect. The Light is endless. The Light wants to give you everything. We just have to look inside of ourselves and realize where we are pushing the Light away. Where are we limiting this energy from coming in? And Kabbalah is helping us see things that we never saw before. We think we're spiritual, we think we're perfect, we think we're the right vessel. I've seen this every time. I've been teaching this wisdom for 25 years. In the beginning of every class, I ask people, "How many of you believe you know and understand life? How many of you believe that you deserve to receive?" And they say, I say, what's your spiritual score out of 10? The numbers are 7, 8, 8.5, right? Nobody wants to say 10 and nobody wants to say 1. At the end of the 10-week course, I ask them, how spiritual do you think you are? How close to the Light of the Creator do you think you are? The numbers are like 1, 2, 3. Because once you learn, you're like, oh my God, I haven't been doing any of this. I thought being spiritual meant attending some kind of religious ritual, spending time with my family, maybe moving my body and breathwork, maybe that's what it meant to be a spiritual person. Those things are tools. That is not why the angels sent you down to this world to do body movement and breathwork. That is a tool, that is not the goal. If you do yoga and breathwork and then you go and yell at your spouse, or ignore your husband, or doom scroll all night, what did you do? You didn't do anything. Your vessel didn't really change. So you moved your body a little bit. You got a little bit healthier, but the whole point of that is to give you the energy and the strength to change your consciousness. And change your consciousness to a higher level of certainty, to a higher level of understanding that you deserve to receive. The Creator wants to give you everything. The people aren't against you. No one's trying to hurt you. And the people who did hurt you, that wasn't their intention. And there's a bigger picture at play. And we're not excusing their behavior, but we are empowering you to learn so that you can protect yourself spiritually, so that never happens to you again. So you can reach a new destiny where The things you really want are there. Instead of trying to litigate and adjudicate the past all the time. People are always talking about the past and trying to make sense of the past and trying to understand why the past. Who cares about that? Why don't you just move forward and receive? So much. Creator wants to give you. You want to sit here and talk about the darkness? You want to just have a whole discussion about the darkness? Why not just go receive the light? That is our birthright.

Let's do a meditation. I want you to sit comfortably now and focus on what the point of life is. What is the point of your life? What did the angels and the Creator discuss before bringing your soul down to this world? Sometimes we think that our essence is not as significant. I'm sure that many of us do not see where our soul is descended from and who our great-great-grandparents were. Could it be that your soul came from a very high soul that lived thousands of years ago? Could it be that you have a spark of the soul of Abraham, the soul of Moses, of Sarah, or Ruth, the great-grandmother of King David. Sometimes we don't think about those things. We don't realize just how divine and special of a source we come from. And if this wisdom resonates with you, why does it resonate with you? When you hear the wisdom of Kabbalah, one of the ways that you know that you come from great descendants is that you might hear one word or one line, but inside your soul, thousands of images and different lessons come up that often have no correlation to even what's being said. If I were to read a line of the Zohar, or a line from Rav Ashlag like I just did, and you start to see things, feel things, hear things that have nothing even to do with what was shared, this is a sign that your soul comes from a very special place and that you've been here before. And there are groups of people in this world who are simply more evolved, and they're craving and desiring to learn deeper and go deeper and to know the Creator more. They don't even know where it comes from. They don't know why they have this calling. They don't know why they have this lingering feeling that they must understand the why. And the reason is because you are meant to be a sinner, a channeler for this world in your own way. Let go of how, let go of even why. Just trust that you are meant to be a channel for the light of the Creator in this world. Every soul is in some way, but sometimes we're so caught up in trying to get stuff, trying to get things, trying to keep up with everyone. Keep up, keep up with the changing times, keep up with the AI revolution, keep up with the fashion, keep up with the making money, and keep up with being a good parent, and keep up, keep up We forget. Let it all go. Just become like the light. The light will make sure you win the race, if there even was a race. The Creator will put you exactly where you need to be at exactly the right time in exactly the right place. So surrender trying to keep up with the Joneses. That should feel very calming to you. That should feel like a lot of stress and pressure is leaving you. And if it does, that's a sign that your soul wants that. You'll never get to the top. There is no top. In fact, if you get to the top, I promise you, you'll be lonely. And you wonder why you got to the top. There's nothing to enjoy at the top because it means now you're separate from everyone and now you're not with the Light. Where is the Creator? The Creator is not at the top. The Creator is everywhere, endlessly. So the way that we can become a vessel for miracles in our lives is to change our frame of what we are chasing. There is no top. Stop chasing more. Stop chasing people. Stop chasing a number. Stop chasing physical objects. All those things that you are chasing will be handed to you and given to you in the most blissful, blessingful way, as long as you let go of chasing them as your priority. Desire them, don't chase them. Put your focus and attention towards becoming a vessel for the endless light. If you don't know what that means, learn more about what that means. We teach in Kabbalah how to become a vessel of the endless light. We learned today that you have to let go of being better. Next time you feel better than someone, just let go and say, no, I don't know. Internally, just say, I don't No, next time you feel like you're not good enough, people don't like you, you failed and failed and failed, what's the point? Say no, no, no, this is all good. I'm being broken because I am holy. I'm being broken because the Creator has a plan for me. The Creator is most strict with the ones he loves. This is a quote from the sages. The Creator is most strict with the ones he loves. Who are the ones he loves? It's the ones he wants to give the most to. What does it mean, the most to? He has carved out so many blessings for you, and he has such big aspirations for you. Preparations for you and such big revelations for you that he has to be strict with you as to prepare you to receive that. The way the king has to prepare his son to receive the kingdom. Cannot just give it to his son without preparation. To receive a kingdom is different than receiving anything else. And so you will be the king one day. You will be the Queen one day. Our hope is that it is in this lifetime without pain and suffering, and you must believe that you can receive that without pain and suffering. If you feel that the Universe is being strict with you, the Creator is being strict with you, say thank you. Say thank you. Say I accept this. There's nothing I would change about this. I completely surrender, and I desire to become a sinner, a vessel for your endless light.
