When You Surrender Control, Everything Changes

Because we are starting the energy of Cancer, and the sages actually say that there are two months in the year where some might consider them to be challenging months, but we have to always understand what challenging means. Challenging means an excess of energy. So when the amount of energy that wants to be revealed, and energy can be for us any part of our life where we're trying to receive more fulfillment, whenever the energy exceeds the capacity of the vessel to receive and harness it, we call that stress. We call that anxiety. We call that chaos. So if 100 watts of energy trying to fit into a 60-watt bulb, you're going to have a short circuit. The energy innately is not bad. The bulb innately is not a problem. It's just that when the two try to come together, they cannot reveal one another. And so in the month of Cancer, astrologically, we know that the— each of the months— I'm sorry, each of the planets are representing two months. In the year. But Cancer and Leo are the only months where only one planet or one astrological force is controlling it. So the Moon only controls the month of Cancer and the Sun only controls the month of Leo. So let's say, for example, the planet of Saturn— Saturn. Will control both Capricorn and Aquarius. So its energy is split, but not with Cancer and Leo, which means that the full intensity of these energies is contained in one month. So how do we handle this intensity? We have to be the ones that know that this energy exists, and we have to do more on our part to create the vessel for that energy. So I'm going to share with you right now. So these two months can be months of great healing, great manifestation, great miracles. And if not treated with respect, if we are just choosing to be reactive, overly emotional, selfish in that we are not going outside of ourselves and really thinking about other people, if we don't maintain a consciousness of certainty and wholeness, we risk not being able to harness this intense energy. And as a result, painful moments can occur. And again, those painful moments are just to expand us, just to reroute us. We always say, like the GPS signal on the Waze or Google Maps, as soon as you make a wrong turn, your GPS will say, recalculating. It's gonna recalculate your next best route. You're not gonna be punished, you're not being judged, you're not being scolded. It's just you made a decision that happened to be a decision to make a turn that was not the most direct path to where you wanted to be, where your destination is. And so the GPS has to recalculate for you. How do we avoid the recalculations this month is really what we wanna talk about. And I'm going to share a concept with you that just this one thing alone, if you apply in your life, you will immediately see a shift. You can see miracles immediately just from this one concept. And that is the idea of who do you believe is in control? Mm-hmm. Control. Who's really in control? If you think about all the things that make us reactive— reactive, by definition, is any thought, word, or action which comes from fear or lack. That's what reactive behavior is. Were you reactive today? Did you have any thoughts? Did you say anything? Did you do anything, type anything, email anyone, walk in a certain way, drive somewhere? Maybe even go to work because you were afraid? Because you felt like you're missing something and you need something? Have you ever been in a room and there's someone in the room who maybe you like, or you need their energy, or you want their approval? So you start to change the way you behave. You might even change the way you walk. You might even stand up straighter because you want to be noticed. Because you want to be liked. Have you ever posted anything on social media because You wanted the attention. You wanted the validation. You wanted someone to recognize you. Have you ever bought a piece of clothing or even decided to pull an outfit out of your closet 'cause you're like, you know what? It's not about, I want to reveal just my energy for myself, for my soul. I want, I know that my ex is gonna be at this event and I want them to see what they lost. I want them to see what they're missing. Right? Have you ever had these kind of thoughts? All of these thoughts, all of these words, all of these actions which come from that place, a place of manipulation, fear, lack, emptiness, this constitutes reactive behavior. And so why do we become reactive? Well, obviously we've learned that our soul comes to this world with negativity that it must transform. But let's go even deeper than that. We are reactive because we do not believe that the Creator is in control. We believe that people are in control. We believe that people are making decisions. And so sometimes when someone makes a decision that I don't like, or that's not in my favor, I get upset at that person. We don't really believe that the Creator is the one that is telling them to make a decision, or the Creator is the one that is telling them not to make a decision. We believe it's the person. We believe it's personal. We believe we need to convince that person to do something. Imagine you're in a negotiation. What are you thinking? You're not thinking that the Creator is in control. You're not thinking that the Creator is the one putting the words in that person's mouth. The Creator is the one that is guiding even the attorneys that are on the other side of this negotiation. We believe it's the person. And so we end up dealing in life in a very bipolar way. On one hand, we're like, yes, we're very spiritual. It's all about the Light of the Creator. We're transforming who we are. But then also, business is business. People are people. Right. If I don't control this person or control this situation, it's not going to happen. Or you may be thinking, someone left you. Someone broke your heart. Did they break your heart? Did they decide to leave you? Ultimately, no one is making a decision on their own. If the Light of the Creator didn't want that person to leave you, that person would never leave you. And if that person wanted to stay with you forever, but the Light of the Creator had other plans, the Light of the Creator had a bigger picture both for you and them, the Creator will make sure that that person leaves you no matter what, even if they don't want to leave you. Think about that for a moment. Every single thing that has happened in your life and will happen in your life is not coming through the people. It is coming because this universal spiritual GPS that we call the Creator has a higher design, and that design is specific towards how to bring you the greatest level of happiness and fulfillment. It's hard in the moment, I agree. It is hard in the moment when we feel so crushed, when we feel that we don't have resources. Mm-hmm. When we feel unloved, or we feel we're getting older. When we feel that— maybe you feel now you're a single parent, just went through a divorce. You have to start your life all over again. You have a lot of stress. Maybe you have a lot of bills. You're not the person you once were, so who's gonna love you? Who's gonna want to be with a single parent, let's say? That's what you're going through. Everyone has their own specific challenges. But know that it is not statistics that determines your life. It's not even historical data. Someone could tell you, "Well, statistically, a person at this age or in this situation, it's harder for them to find their soulmate." I beg to differ, in fact. I have seen in my 25 years of coaching couples and coaching individuals that there is no statistical significance find someone who's 20 years old, 30 years old, 40 years old, 50 years old. I've seen people in their 60s find love faster than people in their 30s or their prime. There's actually no statistical correlation to miracles. So whatever age you are, whatever moment you are in your life, you can tap into the world of miracles. Mm-hmm. Any moment. Why? Because it is not our society that determines who is wealthy and who is not. It is not the public that decides who shall find love or not. It is not even these dating apps. It is not even the way you look that determines if you fall in love or not. Everything is determined by the universal GPS of the Creator. So, so what is our free will? That's what you're thinking. Well, if everything is determined by the Creator, what is my role? Imagine this. Your only free will in this life is to know what I just shared. You came to this world to know that you have no free will. It takes a lifetime to realize actually that you have no control, that the Creator is fully in control. Think of how much work you actually have to do on yourself to get to that level of consciousness. Because it sounds good right now, you're listening to this podcast and you're like, yeah, I agree with that. That feels right. I resonate with that. And it also feels very calming to know that I don't have to try to control everything. The Creator's in control. But what's going to happen 20 minutes after we're done here? A challenge is going to come up. Someone's going to say something you don't like. Someone's going to— your partner or someone you love so, so greatly is going to touch a wound. Mm-hmm. And you're going to take it personally. We all do. We all take it personally, myself included. We all react. Because we forget, or at least we haven't fully achieved that level of consciousness which is called ruach. It's a higher level of the soul. It's the second level of the soul. When you reach the ruach, the way you know you've reached the higher level of your soul, which means a higher level of a destiny, is every time something happens, you believe the Creator is in control. And it's not the person. The person is just an avatar. The person's a robot. That's also what astrology is, by the way. Sometimes you say, "Well, the planets are controlling this and that." The planets aren't controlling anything. They're just conduits of energy. The only reason I use astrology is, well, one, the sages use it. Abraham the patriarch was the start of spirituality in this world. He was the first astrologer. And you know what Abraham said? He said, here's how astrology works. And your purpose is to rise above all the astrology. Meaning, astrology is there to show you where your baseline is, to show you where your Tikun is, to show you what energies are affecting you. Your free will is to say, well, the Creator's in control, not the stars, not other people, not this, not the society, not the economy, not politics. The President's not even in control. When you reach that state, now you rise above the stars. It says you reach the level of what's called 13, because we have 12 signs of the zodiac. As long as you're under those 12, you're always going to be limited. It's important to learn about the 12. It's important to know astrology, know your personal astrology, know what's happening in the world, only so you can rise above it. I always say, I'll never get into a business that I don't fully understand. I'll never invest in something that I don't fully understand. Why? Because I need to fully understand the business, the whole, all of it, A to Z. Mm-hmm. Because then you have to rise above it to be successful. You have to then break through the status quo of what that economy is, what that, what that business is, what that sector is. You have to rise above all of it. And the whole purpose of learning Kabbalah for me was to learn as much of it as I can so that I'm not reacting to it. Same with any other business that I'd be in. What happens when you rise above 12? You reach what's called 13. 13 is one of the most positive numbers, kabbalistically. It's the same numerical value in Hebrew and Aramaic as the word echad, which means oneness. So when you're one with the Creator, you reach 13, which is you rise above all the astrological influences. So yeah, the things that make a Scorpio reactive or a Cancer reactive or a Leo reactive, they don't apply to you anymore. You've risen above your sign. Sometimes I'm with people and I ask them, "What's your sign?" They say, "Guess." I'm like, okay, we want to play the guessing game. If I can guess your sign, it means you haven't done enough spiritual work. Because the whole goal is to rise above your sign that no one would ever know you are that sign. So if I get it right, it's an indication that you still haven't risen above your sign, you haven't reached the 13. 13 is also the numerical value of the word ahava, which means love. And that is why love conquers all. When you love someone, and there's many degrees of love, but the highest degree is unconditional love, which means that no matter what they've done to you, no matter what they've given or haven't given to you, you've risen above taking it personally. You've risen above emotions that are reactive. You've risen above your anger, your pain, your shame. And you say, what can I do to still care about this person? And by the way, caring could mean blocking them. Caring could mean not talking to them anymore. Caring could mean being very direct with them and letting them know what they've done wrong. But always from a place of care about them and not about vengeance from you. Think about your child. Your own children, if you have children, or one day you will, no matter what they do, even if they do the worst things and they go to prison, God forbid, you're still going to show up at prison. You still care about them. Right? You don't write them off and say, "Well, I don't care about you because you don't care about me." No matter what they do, you still find a way to care about them. Even if they do the worst things, you still find a way to recalculate as a parent, how to help them become the best version of themselves. And so that is what Thirteen is all about. And truth is, we could throw all these books away. We could throw thousands and thousands and thousands of hours of content away and just focus on love, of course, right? You've heard this so many times before, but the reason why we need to study all these books is just to even have the strength or the tools or the wisdom of how to get to this consciousness called love. Unconditional love, which is not easy. So going back to the concept we're talking about, the one concept that if you can keep in your mind as long as possible throughout the day, the chaos will go away. Who's in control? If you're waiting for a deal to close, if you're waiting for someone to call you or text you, maybe you went out on a date and you enjoyed spending time with this person. And you're wondering, will they ask you out again? Or maybe you're in a relationship and you're wondering, will they propose? Where is this going? Or you're wondering, should you stay in a relationship or not? Right? These are all questions we have. You want to know how you get to the answer in the fastest way? Pause. Take a step back. And say, "Wait, wait, one second. I'm not in control. They're not in control. The Creator's in control. If the Creator wants them to text me, they'll text me. If the Creator wants this deal to close, the deal will close." Now, does that mean that you do nothing? Of course not. We must always do whatever we can to manifest something. You have to put in the work, the time, the energy. You have to work on yourself, on your belief systems about receiving. As we've learned, you have to work on your anger, you have to work on your reactivity, you have to make sure— you have to do all those things. And the cherry on top of your spiritual work that manifests everything ultimately is, now that I've done all that, it's just to get me to a point where I realize I still don't have any control. Because you don't know whether you have control or not until you've done everything. Because if you just sit on the couch and you're lazy and you say, "Yeah, the Creator's in control, there's no point in doing anything," you don't really mean it because you haven't done it all. Rav Ashlag, one of the greatest Kabbalists of our time, says the reason why we need to put maximum effort physically in everything in this world, maximum effort spiritually in this world, in everything, is to do the max and see that the max doesn't work, and then we surrender and say, wow, the Creator really is in control because I've tried everything and it hasn't worked. Often though, actually, the most successful people in the world, I promise you this, they didn't just do something and become successful. Let me tell you what they did, because it's the parts often we don't see. They did everything, and then it didn't work, and they had more stress. Mm-hmm. And they almost went bankrupt, or they did go bankrupt, or it almost all fell apart, or it did fall apart. They did the right thing, and then everybody was still against them. They had the best product, the best marketing, and still it failed. And then they said, consciously or unconsciously, I need help from the universe. It's really not about me anymore. I'm going to still push forward and put my maximum, but I know it's not about me. and then the miracle came. If you ever, if you go look at the 10 richest people in this world, you will see, at least in the very beginning of their process, they were overwhelmed, broken, and then rebuilt. Nobody just, like a hockey stick, which just went up and to the right on the chart. No one just continuously made money, or continuously had love, and continuously had blessings, and there was never a down. Right. There's a lot of effort that was put in, and then it felt like the effort didn't work, or it actually didn't work, and then they still push through. Every athlete, every entrepreneur, every founder, and that is you. Where are you on this journey? You do have to put in the maximum. You have to do everything in your power to be successful in every department of life, in your health, in your wealth, in your relationships, yes, you have to be romantic, you have to go out of your way, you have to be thoughtful. With your health, you have to go to the gym, you have to eat right, you have to sleep right. When it comes to your career, yes, you have to think that you have to optimize the marketing, you have to optimize the supply chain, you have to optimize the compliance, you have to have good culture, you have to check in on all your employees, you have to make sure people are happy, you have to have good pay, you have to have good incentives, you have to work on yourself, you have to be a good leader, you have to learn what it means to be a leader. You have to cut the fat, you have to let go of the B employees. All this stuff is true. And at the end of the day, realize that after you made all that effort, you're not in control. Take a moment and see what that feels like. That is called the Shabbat. Everyone talks about Shabbat or the Sabbath. Every religion celebrates it differently. Shabbat is a code for the moment After you've done everything, now you surrender. It says in the Bible that on the seventh day, God rested. It's kind of foolish to think that an infinite force of energy that has no lack whatsoever was so tired that it needed to rest the way we think rest, right? For us, rest is like, we're laying on the couch, maybe, maybe just watch a little TV. Yeah. And rest. The Creator doesn't need to rest. There's no lack in the Creator. So what's the code? On the seventh day He rested means no movement is necessary because everything's already done. Everything's already whole and complete. And when you surrender to the Creator, you're basically saying, I surrender. I'm rested. It's Shabbat. Everything is whole and complete. There's nothing left for me to do. Now it's all the Creator. I have done my part, and my part is only to get to a place where I know that my part is insignificant. Now it is all the Creator. But you cannot say that before you do your part. You cannot say that before you try your maximum. And everything, every moment of your life. And I remember I was doing a meditation this morning before I took the kids to school. They were having breakfast, so I stepped outside. It was just a beautiful— it was beautiful here in Los Angeles. The weather is really perfect right now, and the sun just came out. And I told myself, all the things that I'm working on right now, even sharing Kabbalah, really all the things that I'm doing, Am I really in control? If the Creator wants Kabbalah to come to the world, it's going to happen. If the Creator doesn't want it, it's not going to happen. If the Creator wants it through me, it'll happen. If it doesn't want it through me, it'll be somebody else. But I need to know that that is the reality. Do not think that you are the one orchestrating everything. What you are doing is you are just creating the vessel for the Creator to come in and reveal itself. Fully, but the Creator is in control. Let's do a meditation now that will actually help us live this, that will help us understand fully what manifestation is really all about. I want you to find a place of quiet and a moment to quiet your own brain and to sit relaxed so that there are no other forces that are bothering you or distracting you. I want you to take a deep breath in. Just hold it for a moment. Feel the oxygen in the blood throughout your body and feel the tingling sensations in your fingers, your toes, throughout your mind. And then release. I want you to visualize the conversation that your soul had with the Creator before it came down to this world. Think of how great and infinite this life force is. Think of how every single grain of sand, every plant, every animal, Think of the trillions of functions happening in the human body all at once. Think of the infinite wisdom of each person's mind. And all of that, all of that data, all of that energy, seen and unseen, is being controlled by the Creator. In a perfect algorithm. And this algorithm of the Creator is optimized for one thing: to give you greatest revelation of joy and happiness and fulfillment. And you feel that, and you see that, and you know that without any doubt before your Soul comes to this world. You're so excited to come to a world of darkness, a world of confusion, a world where this Truth is hidden from you, because you want to show the Creator that even in darkness, you are able to still choose the Creator. It is easy to love the Creator. It is easy to surrender to the Creator when we have what's called the revelation of the face. Everything's going great. Life is good. What I wanted, I got. But it is in the times of concealment, times of hurt, the times when we are enmeshed in shame, and guilt, and the times where we're thinking about the future and we're afraid that things will be taken away from us. We think about the safety of the people we love and we think that it will be hard to protect them. We think about our loved ones and our parents and we're so scared that one day we we may not have them. This is the world we came to. We just do not see the perfection. And that is by choice. Our soul chose to come to a world to see the darkness, to feel the darkness, to experience the pain, and in the midst of it, remember the vision, the conversation. Mm-hmm. With the Creator we had before we came in. Do not worry. You have someone who is looking over you that is infinitely more powerful than the most powerful person in our physical world. It is not people who decide your fate. Imagine this: if 8 billion people hated you. If 8 billion people every day had one goal: to make your life miserable, to make sure you never found love, to make sure you never made any money. 8 billion people were focused on that against you. But you did this meditation and you rose above all of them and you went straight to the boss. Yes. Straight to the Creator, the one who controls everything. And you became a vessel for his light. The Creator would then come in a dream to the 8 billion people and tell each one of them, "You must respect my child. You must give to my child. You must love my child." And everyone would feel that that was truly really the Creator, and they would wake up with so much fear of disrespecting Him. In one moment, in one moment, the sages say, the oyev, the enemy, becomes the ohev, the lover. And so, yes, all those people who are against you, who don't like you, who are blocking you, stopping you, limiting you. They could just get one message from the Creator and all that becomes the opposite. They are forced to elevate you and respect you. You see, people don't have free will. They just receive orders from above. Mm-hmm. And feel what it feels like to just completely surrender and have a deep respect and love and connection to the Creator. Feel the love that the Creator has for you and feel the love that you have for the Creator. Feel how greatly you want to serve this force. How do you serve God? By knowing that the Creator is in control and not people. And now you're in service. Now you have a connection. But it is not enough just in our prayers to know that. We must live it. When you are in the midst of a fight or a heated argument with someone, It is that moment that you must remember, Creator's in control. What am I yelling about? What am I arguing about? Take a step back and then ask the Creator to get involved. You cannot have a child. It is difficult for you to have a child. It may be because you believe that you are the one that needs to have a child. The Creator is in control of that soul. When you know that with certainty, the soul will appear somehow, someway. So be kind to yourself. Take the pressure off. Do not worry about how quickly this world is moving or how fast everything is changing. Do not worry about your job, your security. Do not worry about your family. Don't even worry about yourself. This moment on, you will do your maximum in every way, and you will also let go at every moment and know that the Creator is in control, and you will live in these two worlds at the same time, all the time. Maximum effort, maximum surrender. There is a great world waiting for you. This month will be an incredibly miraculous month for you. Do not worry about a thing. Feel the wholeness of the greatness of your soul. Know that without your soul, the world would fall apart. And you are needed. And don't let anything in this physical world get you down.
