Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the YouTube channel for this cautionary Christmas tale. You see, I'm going to tell you how we made £106,000 in four days and saved Christmas. This is quite the tale. But there are lots of lessons for anyone running a business on how you can not only avoid situations like this, but capitalise on them and not wait until something goes wrong. But instead deploy what I'm about to share as an ongoing tactic within your business to get more money, more sales from your existing leads and customers. So strap in. So I need you to cast your mind back to 10th December, 2023. This was a few years ago and in my agency we were celebrating a record year of growth and a record year of amazing results with our clients. But we had one client who had a really cool business. You see, they supplied very fancy wood to architects and people who were building like mega mansions. So this was really, really high end, super cool wood that people would use on the outside of their homes, even inside of these really fancy stuff. And we had had a tremendous year with them. Their marketing was very straightforward. We would run ads, get people to order some free samples of the different types of wood, and then once they've got the samples, they'd be like, oh, I like this one. Place a ginormous order and the business would grow. And so we'd started working with this client right at the start of the year. And when they'd come to us, they're a long standing business, been around many, many years, but they were having a bit of a slow start to the year. You see, they've made some changes to their marketing, started charging money for the samples, interestingly, and all of a sudden their lead flow had gone off a cliff. And when their lead flow had gone, their sales had also gone. So we needed to do something and do something fast, because when they joined us in January, they were doing around 40,000 pounds a month in revenue. We quickly made a few changes, made the samples go back to being free, updated the landing pages, made some killer ads across Facebook and Google, and all of a sudden, relatively quickly, the revenue started to jump right up. So we got to 60k to 70k to 80k and we just had what I can only describe as like the most pleasurable year of working with this client possible, because the whole year was just up and we broke their revenue record. And then the next month we break it again, and the next month we break it again. And it's kind of funny because we would send out trophies to all of our clients when we broke their records in their business, and every single month we were ordering trophies for these guys, it was because it was an amazing business, great offer, and we just dialed in the marketing and it started to absolutely fly. But then it was not all plain sailing, dear viewer. Unfortunately, come December, after riding the highs of many back to back record months, we started to have an issue, you see, dare I say, a little bit of complacency how had set him. And dare I say a little bit of oversight on how December is obviously a short month anyway with a lot of people taking off the last two weeks for Christmas. But in particular in their space, people kind of put hold on their projects. And what they had anticipated to be a very strong start to December had been a very slow start to December. I mean, we were 10 days in and they'd made basically no sales and literally no revenue. And so I got a very worried call from the owner, which I remember to this day, that basically said, elliot, we're in a bit of a pickle here. It's the 10th of December, we're on zero sales, zero revenue. I've got a major issue, we're about to shut down, all of our staff are going away. We have to close our operation in like four days time. So he said, we have got literally four, four days and we need to make at a minimum £40,000 because that covers payroll, just means we can get through the Christmas period and we're able to pay people their salaries, otherwise we're going to have to take out a loan and this will have all sorts of implications and we want to try and avoid that, obviously. So I was like, damn, this is my accurate illustration of my face. This is going to be a little bit tricky. Pretty sure my exact reaction was, yikes. How the hell has this happened? We've just been crushing records, Whatever, doesn't matter why, let's dive in and solve the problem. So me and the team, we got into pure problem solving mode and it was very stressful, but we started to think, okay, how the hell are we going to generate £40,000 in the next four days? One thing's for certain, we can't run ads because it just will take too long. And also we've got no money, so we don't want to have to spend money on ads. But by the time we created them, launched them, and actually the algorithm had been able to learn, it's just not going to work. Not going to work in four days. So we were tremendously puzzled and frankly weren't entirely sure what to do until we started racking our brains. What do we have? What do we have at our disposal? What are our options to make this a reality? And we did have something. You see, these guys have been in business a long time. And we had a list of about 1500 past customers and hot prospects who had inquired before about their project but had never actually bought. Just sat there in our sales and marketing system and they hadn't heard from us in a while. So I knew in this predicament where we had to generate 40,000 pounds in four days, the only option we had was to go out to this list and do three things. Number one, create an ltmo, a limited time mega offer. Number two, send out an absolute nuclear blast of communications to make sure everybody sees it. And then number three, cross our little fingers and toes and pray to the Lord that some of those customers are ready to buy and we can generate the required cash flow to save the day. So that was the plan and it was absolutely game on. So we got to work. So the first step was the limited time mega offer. And so the limited time mega offer is exactly as it says. We are going to create a very special offer. So that is what mega means. It has to be very special, very unique, the type of offer that these people will only see once. And it's only going to be available for a limited time because obviously we have got a hard deadline and so we need them to have a hard deadline. Now, luckily the client, they actually came up with this because in their space they just have never discounted anything ever. And so we were going to do a 15% discount on all of their fancy wood. Now, I know what you're thinking, Elliot, 15%, that's not very exciting. Well, in this industry and space it was because like I said, this is very high end luxury and it never ever gets discounted. It's like if Gucci or Prada all of a sudden did 15% off the amount of people that would flock, the would just be unprecedented because they don't do discounts ever. So for them, 15% works because it was a mega offer. They would never see something like this again. In your business if there's common discounts and that's a thing, this wouldn't work. It would have to be better. But not only that, this was only going to be available for 72 hours, which meant we had genuine urgency, which is a ginormous driver of action when you have a very believable set of reasons as to why someone needs to act now. And in this case, the fact that we never do discounts and the fact that it was almost the end of the year, we could say we're doing this to celebrate the end of year and it is genuinely only available for the next 72 hours. So that became a very believable reason as to why we also had elements of scarcity, because we have limited quantities of this that we could actually sell. So we tied that in as well. And this, the thing that, as you will discover, really makes the limited time mega offer work is people have to believe it's a genuine one off. You have to believe it's a genuine one off, otherwise the conversion will be much lower if you try and do this too regularly. Again, it kind of gets lower and lower every time. But with the limited time mega offer crafted, it was now time for the nuclear blast. So we had to make sure that in these 72 hours as many people saw this offer as humanly possible. So we were not going to write one email, send it out and cross our fingers and pray. That would be really silly. We don't like being silly. We wanted to do a nuclear blast. So what I mean by that is we sent out emails, we sent out text messages, SMS and we sent out WhatsApps. So for those 72 hours, I think we sent out like three emails a day, three texts a day and three WhatsApps a day. Boom. To make sure we got through. Because it's nearly Christmas, you've just had Black Friday, people are busy. We had to make sure people saw this offer. We did not care if a couple of people got annoyed because they all of a sudden received all these communications from us. Because that was the victory and potential of all of the sales that would come from other people seeing it vastly outweighed the negative of one person complaining and unsubscribing. Okay? So we absolutely blasted it. And that is a key lesson, okay? Because believe it or not, there is a direct correlation between the number of offers that you make, the number of sales that you make. Okay, this sounds really dumb, but people, they sometimes forget this and they sometimes forget that in order to make a sale, we have to present someone with an offer, whether that's in person or via email. We have to give them an opportunity to buy. So the more opportunities to buy we give people, the more sales we will make. And so the nuclear bast meant every day we have three emails, three SMS's, three WhatsApps. That's nine opportunities to buy for each person in every single day in this concentrated window and therefore we drastically increased the probability of them seeing our offer, being reminded of our offer and actually doing the offer. A lot of people, they go way too shy with this and they send out one email and just cross the fingers and hope for the best. And then we had nothing else to do but sit and pray and it was quite stressful. But 24 hours in, I send the WhatsApp to our group. I'm like, guys, how's it looking? Any action? After 24 hours? We had 33k in sales come in, so I was starting to feel very confident. I thought only 7k to go. If we've done that in 24 hours, then surely by the time the deadline comes, we're going to make more sales. And lo and behold, after 72 hours, even I was aghast. But they did £106,000 in sales and Christmas was well and truly saved. So it was an awesome story, very stressful, but I look back on it extremely fondly and it was a great, you know, bonding experience with that client. But also we learned a lot of lessons and the key lessons is this, number one, there's a tremendous amount of value in your list. So you watching this in your business, you have a list of prospects who have inquired but never bought and and you have a list of customers that have bought from you and maybe haven't heard from you in a while. You are sat on sales right there. And some of the quickest and easiest ways for you to make more sales is to activate those people in the right way. We do this through what we call resurrection campaigns. And what resurrection campaigns are designed to do is to get people who are just sat there on a list to actually activate, resurrect and come to life and either book a call or take action and buy now. And the limited time mega offer is one way in which we do that. We actually have a multitude of other ways through sending out simple hand raiser emails where we ask people a question and they reply A or B because they fit into one of two buckets and they again raise their hand. We have another campaign called the 80 Hour Cash Machine which is also very cool and whole other hosts. But the key thing is you need to understand how to do this with redirection campaigns and then you need to get them scheduled in because a good business not only focuses on its marketing and its front end and it's driving more sales leads and prospects, but it also focuses on harnessing its list and has automations that go out every single month to reactivate and resurrect the small segments of the list that have been cold that we haven't heard from in a while. If you do, that's the easiest way I know of to add 10, 20, 50k of monthly revenue to your business just from activating those customers. And that is requires zero additional spend. So resurrection campaigns. Maybe I'll do a whole other video on specific resurrection campaigns, but for now, do not leave it until the end of the year like we did. Do not wait to do your limited time mega offer, get one planned in, look after those contacts and start making the most out of your list because it's in most cases an underutilized asset.
