The Biggest Breakthrough in AI for Business Owners

Elliott Botterill introduces Ask AI, a chatbot built into Genie AI that talks to your CRM using Claude. It answers questions about sales and reporting, and can execute actions like creating tasks or sending emails. The system lowers the technical barrier to CRM automation through natural language.

Ladies and gentlemen, the biggest breakthrough in artificial intelligence for business owners has literally just happened. I mean, moments ago. The talk-to-CRM era has begun. Now bear with me, this is not one of those normal AI videos talking about some silly little tool that's not actually going to help you in your business. This is a genuinely what I believe a very significant moment in the the history of artificial intelligence as it relates to business owners and this whole new era. And so in this video, I'm going to explain to you exactly what this is, why it's so significant, and importantly, how you can capitalize on it. And so before we dive in, quick little bit of background. My name is Elliott Botterill. Welcome back to the YouTube channel. Don't forget to like and subscribe. I have been in the world of marketing for a long time. Worked in a big agency, quit and started my agency, grew that, had a great time, joined Entrepreneur's Circle, and during that period either worked for or worked with all of your favourite gurus as well. And so I've been around the scene for quite a long time. At Entrepreneur's Circle, we have several businesses that cumulatively do over £1 million every single month. And one of those businesses is Genie AI, our AI-powered sales and marketing CRM. System that is an absolute beast. Now, we got on board of GenAI and launched it about 3 years ago because we were using artificial intelligence when ChatGPT came out, like anyone— ideation, content creation, reviewing this, reviewing that— and thought it was immense. And so we thought, how can we help empower our customers who are business owners to get more stuff done? Because a lot of the time they knew what they needed to do, but they lacked the proper tools to execute the thing. And so that was why we launched Genie AI. And Genie AI is a genuine best-in-class sales and marketing system that all of your data goes in there. You track all the leads, you can communicate with all the leads, you can do all your follow-up, you can build all your funnels, you can do everything. It actually is awesome. And it uses AI to do a lot of heavy lifting. But that in and of itself, whilst that was a breakthrough at the time, We have just dropped a crazy new element of GenAI that honestly has changed the game, and that is what this video is all about. You see, the first thing we need to touch on is the fact that artificial intelligence is becoming more and more of a common thing. Everyone's using ChatGPT these days, aren't they? Well, let's look at the data. This chart shows the world population, and each little square represents 3.2 million people. And so what we can see is all the gray people are not using AI, the vast majority of people. We then have AI users, and we have these little green squares are people who are using the free version of ChatGPT or a similar free chatbot. And so that is 1.3 billion people are in the green, so quite a lot, but they're the free users. And if they're using it for free, they're using it relatively surface level. If you then zoom in, it's kind of hard to see on here, but you have these yellows who are people that are paying $20 a month for AI. So you're slightly more advanced users, if you will, and that is about 15 million people. And then you have the red bit, which is basically one square, so it is around 3 million people that are the hardcore users, the people using very advanced AI, using it for coding, building, all this kind of crazy stuff. And so this tells us that whilst our newsfeed, our world, maybe consumed with people saying they're using AI, the stats are actually very dissimilar. And they show us that yes, a bunch of people do use AI, small percentage of the population, but most people are using it in a surface-level way. And so that tells me that we are early. People who are using AI in a meaningful way, there's not many of them. And so in this video, what I'm about to share, using this absolutely takes you to the fraction of a percent of people using artificial intelligence in a way that's going to meaningfully grow their business. Because all of us know we've got to use AI, otherwise, you know, we're going to get left behind. And that is the narrative that is pushed out there. And I agree with it to an extent, But most AI tools out there right now are more fun than practical. They're more, wow, that's a cool thing that it can do, but where's the actual business use case? How is this actually going to make me more money? And so people love spouting all the crazy AI tools out there, and I challenge them because most of them are just useless and actually are distractions, shiny bright objects that are not going to move the needle when it comes to revenue. This channel is all about making more money. This channel is all about getting more out of your marketing and sales and sharing the lessons that we have learned in doing so. And this is one of the single biggest things that I believe is going to completely change our sales and marketing, and I hope it will be the same for you. And so before I share the thing, we must first understand the success equation. Okay? And the success equation that I just created states that in order to achieve results, we need strategy, plus we need the right tools, plus we need the right action. I.e., we have to put some energy in and take action. If we have the strategy, if we have the tools, and we have the action, we will get the right result that we want, and we'll get it pretty quickly or within a reasonable time frame. Now, if we, for an example, have no strategy but we're just using tools and actions, then we're going to get a result, but it's probably not going to be the result that we wanted because we're lacking the direction of the strategy. If we have strategy and action but no tool, then normally we'll get results, but it's going to be really slow because we're missing out on the key tool that would enable us to get there quicker or more efficiently. And so it might cost us more as well. And finally, you can have all the strategy and all the tools, but if you ain't flippin' using them, guess what? Your results are gonna be no bueno. They're gonna be very, very sad. And so you need to have all three in abundance in order to get the right results that you want at the right sort of pace. And this is important because today, is all about an advancement in AI as it relates to the tools. And so the big precursor to everything I'm going to share today is that number one, you need the right strategy in place. There needs to be underlying direction as to where you are going and what you're hoping to achieve. And this advancement is going to be a tool that makes it much easier. Okay. But tools exist, but you still got to take action. And trust me, you're going to want to take action when I share this. So it's absolutely insane. But that is how we get the results. Now, your CRM system, your sales and marketing system, your database is arguably the most important tool in your business. It is the hub where all of your customers, your leads, your prospects sit, where you can communicate with them, where you can do everything. Okay. And it's a critical piece of infrastructure. Any person evaluating a business will often look at the CRM, and there is a big, big premium that is applied for companies that have CRMs with lots of data in, with accurate data, and so on and so forth. So we like the CRM, but importantly, it's this place where we communicate and we chat with leads. And we know we live in an era right now where it's actually easier to generate leads than ever before. It's harder to convert them. And so our follow-up and how we manage communications over long periods of time is critical. And the actual channels, the mechanisms in which we communicate, whether it's email, WhatsApp, SMS, you name it, we need all of that, and we all handle it within our CRM. And so therefore we want to make sure our CRM is the best possible tool. And so the 4 main problems that most CRMs have are as follows, because a lot of CRMs exist, most of them fall down. The first reason is because of bad data, because you get a bunch of terrible data in there. You get some old leads, maybe you bought a list a few years ago and you stick that in there, or unfortunately our team are sloppy with their admin. They don't move leads to the right stages, they don't put adequate notes on, they don't make it really clear where someone really is, and as a result, the data in your system is not accurate, it's out of date. And therefore, when it comes to taking action on that, it becomes very difficult because we're not getting the clear picture. So that is where most CRM systems fall down, because it's got bad data in it, not tracking the right fields, or slash and the team then compounds that by being very sloppy with how they use it, and so it becomes this big mess. Third reason is the lack of functionality, i.e., it just doesn't do something that you would like it to do. It's missing a key component or feature that you want to take, whether that is landing pages, whether that is having progress bars on top of your forms, or it's having multi-step opt-in, whether it's having phone email verification, whether it's being able to send two-way SMS messages, whether it's having an omnichannel inbox, that connects to Facebook, Instagram, SMS, email, etc. And the list goes on. Specific features that give us functionality that just don't exist because most systems are limited somewhere. But then the biggest one, or perhaps the most underrated one, number 4, that it's not fun, that people don't like using it. And as a result, They never build things and they're very sloppy, which then compounds the bad data problem. Because if people don't enjoy using it yourself or indeed your team, then guess what? They're going to use it less and you are going to get less meaningful results within your business. And so these challenges plague nearly every business to varying degrees. And the breakthrough that has happened that is being launched in junior AI right now Solves all of them, and it is called Ask AI. It is a brand new era of talk-to-CRM. It is embedded artificial intelligence sat within the, the most impactful tool in our business, the CRM system, the hub that has all of the data, the insights, means by which we can communicate and track our leads now is interfaceable by speaking to it, by speaking through a chatbot interface. So allow me to give you a live demonstration of just how insane this is. So this functions very much like regular ChatGPT, but it is within your account. So you can see here I'm within my, my Genie AI account. And on the left-hand side in my options, I've got Ask AI. So I've got all my normal stuff. I'd go here, my conversations to chat with my leads, my calendars to see how many appointments we've got, opportunities where our pipelines are. And then we have all our marketing and automations that we might build and so on and so forth. Ask AI sits in the account and it has access to pretty much all of the data, which is unprecedented. Okay, this is why it's such a big breakthrough. But now not only that, but we have chatbot interface that is connected to currently SONNET 4.6. So this is connected to Claude, the Anthropic model, currently one of the best-in-class models with a huge context window. And so we can now interact with Claude in this safe, secure zone with all of the very specific data from my account. And it cannot just read my data and tell me things, but it can take actions. I can now speak with this thing, give it instructions, and it will do it within my CRM system. So we're not having to go and buy a bunch of Mac Minis and set up some random little crazy bot and give it access to loads of stuff. This system now, I can take action within my regular account and it can do things for me. It's absolutely beautiful. The first thing we want to do with any new piece of AI tech is really understand it works. We want to ask very good and intelligent questions because the AI is only as good as the person using it. And so I'm going to start off by asking it about the data and what it can do. Hello there, please can you tell me exactly what data you have access to? And also, as a business owner, what are the single most impactful questions I can begin to ask you across my different business functions to get the most out of this system? That is going to enable me to drive more sales, revenue, and profit. So I speak, press Enter, and Claude starts thinking. Boom. So here we go. So in a matter of a few seconds, it gets back to me and it tells me, right, here's what I can see and do. I can see all of my contacts. I can see my opportunity and pipeline, where the deals are, the stages, reasons, pipeline health. I can see all conversation history from SMS, emails, phone calls, inbound, outbound activity. I can see all the calendars, who's there, what's available. I can make notes, schedule data, workflows and campaigns. I can active see all the active automations, campaign lists and workflow triggers, which is awesome because it can help us build stuff out. Invoices, it can make us collect payments and tell us what's going on, what's overdue. See all of our products, reporting dashboards, submission data. Basically every damn thing you would need it to see, it can see. So it has a holistic view of your business. Now, very important caveat here: I can read all of this data and propose right action. So it reads it all, but it will not change anything or do a right action, i.e., take the action before we actually give it the okay. So you're always in control. Which again is one of the many nightmare risks we've seen with people using other agents where that go fully autonomous is sometimes they go down the wrong train of thought and they do something wrong. And next thing you know, they send out a campaign or they delete a bunch of stuff and it goes to the wrong people and it's just a mess. Okay, so this gives us a degree of control, but it has the full visibility, which means the answers and stuff it's going to give us are insane, but it's going to be able to then execute on the approved actions that we give it so it gets stuff done quickly. Because the biggest challenge has always been, okay, I've got all this data in my CRM, what do I actually do with it? Well, now it can tell us what, and then it can go and do it as well. This is why it's so majestic. Now, when it comes to artificial intelligence, you have to ask the right questions. And so understanding what are the most high-leverage impactful questions to ask by business function directly to move the needle of sales, revenue, and profit i.e., we're giving it a degree of strategy there because that's what we want to achieve, is going to give us some ideas of how we can begin to interact with this. So for anyone operating a sales team or having a sales pipeline, so majority of service-based businesses to some degree, you're going to be able to see what the pipeline looks like, which contacts are most likely to convert right now based on their stage and engagement. Show me all the deals that have been stuck in the same stage for more than X amount of days. You know, we're experimenting with this. We just ask it, we say, hey, What are the 10 hottest leads right now that are most likely to convert? And it does the analysis. It looks at all their interactions since they've been in the system, and it weighs up a list, explains why, and then we can, we can get it to do stuff. Um, leads and contacts— how many new leads came in this week? So for any kind of reporting questions, this is brilliant. You just ask it and it will tell you. Find all contacts that haven't been contacted in the last 14 days., and then we can send some follow-up to them. Appointments in calendar, which leads came in but never booked a call or appointment? That's great because we can then add them some additional follow-up. Which one of my active campaigns and workflows are currently running, and are they reaching the right contacts? Are there any contacts who haven't been enrolled in a nurture sequence yet? See, that is golden because so many times people have automations running, but they have a gap in the triggers, and they don't realize that they've got a chunk of contacts that are not actually receiving things when they could be. And this can help highlight that. Obviously, revenue and invoicing. What invoices are currently outstanding? Which clients have overdue invoices? Automation efficiency. What workflows do I have right now? And are there any gaps in my follow-up automation? So what I love to do here is ask it, look at my lead, new lead nurture automation for this particular lead magnet, which emails are performing well and which ones are not? Which ones are moving the needle and which ones are not. And it will go through, look at the analysis of the open rates, the click-through rates of each email within an automation, and then boom, tell you which ones you could make better and propose changes, rewrite new versions of the email, rewrite new versions of the subject line to try and improve those elements. So it's bloody genius for constraint finding. Then we have— here we go— give me a full snapshot of my business right now. Active pipeline, value, leads with no follow-up, outstanding invoices, and any appointments this week. You know what? Let's ask this question and see what it comes back with. So the significance of this, while this is loading, is that You no longer have to be extremely tech savvy to get the most out of what is a complicated system. You are now able to simply speak your wishes, your desires, your ideas to this AI, and it will use the language processing to take what you need, turn it into the specific instructions, and it will be that technical expertise for you. So as busy business owners or even team members who are maybe not even that advanced This is game-changing because it removes the barrier to getting the most out of this tool. It lowers the skill barrier, evens the playing field, so you can just articulate yourself, your wishes and your desires in a very quick amount of time, start to get tangible data back, but also something that can then take action on the next steps. So while that one's running, I'm going to start a new chat and I'm going to say, find me a list of 25 leads that haven't been contacted in a long time, at least 6 months. As you can see, what it discovered is our pipeline is very healthy. We have a bunch of open opportunities. We've got 4 new leads today that have had zero follow-up. So the team have been slacking there. We need to jump on those. We've got 20 demos, a decent volume, but we've got someone that's got duplicate opportunities here as well. So what it then tells us is, right, we need to go up and follow up with today's new leads immediately. Kennedy, Martha, Sam, and Peter. Do you want me to create tasks or enroll them in a nurture workflow now? So a task could be for the sales team to manually follow up, or we can enroll them in a nurture workflow so automated follow-up kicks in. Post-demo follow-up. We got 7 demos today. Do we have a follow-up sequence for those who've attended? We should definitely have one. And then we can clean up duplicate opportunities. Which of these would you like me to action first? Wow. And I can then just say, right, let's do number 1. Create me the email, and then let's get them an email sent, then do number 2, and then do number 3. And it's going to go and do it. Ladies and gentlemen, this is absolutely crazy. And so stay tuned as more videos will come showing proper use cases for how you can get the most out of this. But hopefully that begins to show you how asking a simple question to this intelligent system that has all of your proprietary business data in can now smartly and intelligently get you the insights and suggested actions that move your business forward one step closer to generating more sales and more revenue. So whenever there's a newbie breakthrough, we want to understand how we can win. And 4 things spring to mind here. So firstly, obviously you need to pick the right system, guys. You know, you can only benefit from this kind of technology if you have access to the technology. And guess what? We've launched this in Genie AI. It's coming to your account in the next couple of days. We've still got it in beta test mode right now, so I'll leave a link in the description if you want to check it out. Genuinely world-class system. It's what we use for all of our marketing in our 8-figure business. Secondly though, the data quality, because the AI is working off the data within the account, and so it's only as good as the data that is there. Which means we need to make sure we have good quality data within there. Now, obviously we mentioned sloppy admin before and how people can have tendencies to not be too organised sometimes. Well, that is where it helps solve its own problem because it can identify the gaps in the data and you can speak with it and you can get it to fill those gaps. So it actually helps fix this, but you do want to be cognisant and where possible, all your leads are coming in, you have all the relevant custom fields for your business that you're gathering on forms and surveys so that it knows more about these people and who they are. You want to have a system— this is again why GenAI shines, because GenAI connects to all your social medias, it connects to, uh, you build your landing pages within it, okay? So like the whole ecosystem is within the system, and therefore it can track the entire user's journey. So therefore it knows more and it has better quality data on this person and their behaviors, and as a result, what the AI can do for us is significantly enhanced. Thirdly, you've got to use it. You have got to use it. Sounds simple, but so many people just don't. Okay, you saw the chart at the start. I have lost count of how many people I know who I've been to AI events with and seen them get hyped about AI tools and strategies in their business, and 2, 3 years later, Nada, not even using it. So don't be that person, actually use this. But then number 4, I want you to remember the 10-70-20 rule. So whenever we are using AI, we must follow the 10-70-20 rule, which says the first 10% will always be our own original human input, our thoughts, ideas, proprietary data, whatever. AI is then going to do the 70% of the work, the hard thinking, even the crafting, the drafting, of content or actions, but we are going to then put the final 20% of effort in. What that means is we are going to evaluate what the AI has done and we are going to spend time editing and tweaking and adjusting it so that it is natural and human to us. Because the more people use an AI tool in the same way, the more generic the outputs. And in a business perspective, When everyone's doing the same thing, it stops being effective. It becomes average and you get average results. We're all about extraordinary results here on this channel. And to get extraordinary results, you have to do things in an extraordinary way, things that others don't. And we achieve that by making sure we spend time editing our stuff, putting our own voice, our own knowledge, our own additional context into the writing content workflows, etc. So when we're using this thing to draft the emails and draft SMS messages and campaigns and workflows, yes, it will do all the heavy lifting, but we must make sure we go in and tweak it because that 20% is where all of the difference is made. That is where all of the gains are made. That is where the top 1% get their magic, the final human editing. So strap in, we've entered an epic era of just speaking to our computers and It does all sorts of magical things for us. I've been Elliott, you've been amazing. Stay tuned for more videos like this.
