From Beginner to Business Builder: Simone’s Journey with Systematic Trading and Miss Wealthy

Let's fast forward in the story. Okay. Can you give a 30 second kind of pitch for the impact of what you're doing with Ms. Wealthy, which is your business?

Yeah. So. Wow, what an intro.

I can't even remember how long I've started trading. I've been trading for now, eight, nine years, something like that.

Yeah, it would have been 2013, I think.

Okay. Oh, wow.

Maybe 2014.

Showing my age.

Well, when I started learning investing, then I was like, okay, there's, there's more to this. And what Adrian kind of didn't say was, yeah, we met outside of the trading world. I met him through my husband. So he was. When Adrian was in the corporate world and trading on the side. And then I remember you talking about trading and just thinking, you know, you sort of like, what is this thing? Stock market? You know, that's not something I could ever sort of do. And then years later, when I learned investing and I was speaking to Pete, my husband, about what you did, and I was like, so what do you mean? He just doesn't work and just trades, like, that's all he does. Like, can I learn that? And that's. Yeah, can I do that, please? And that's how I, how I learned. And obviously the learning curve was still deep, but now, like, when I look back on it, my God, it's so adaptable to. And you know, I've gone through many life stages since then. I've had a baby and I started a business because lots of people wanted to learn to invest. And the, like, the transformation, if I think back then, like, I started with $10,000, like, to me that was so much money at the time. It was so much money to start with. Like, this is ridiculous. It feels like I'm like, can I really do this? And now it's, you know, hopefully this year I'll hit seven figures in my trading account. So obviously that's trading profit and that's just trading. Right.

Because there's a whole investing thing as well. Right. Which is much broader than that.

Yeah, yeah. But just like the ability to build it, grow, learn, add new systems, add new markets, change. Like, I didn't know that I, when I started, I didn't know that I'd be adapting my style. I had a baby, I couldn't do the six systems in three different markets that I was running at the time now with the baby. So I've pulled it back and I'm just in a different season right now. I know I'll get back into it because I have the skills. I know I can come back into the community.

I took a bunch of cash out to buy another property, so now I'm just building back up. You know, it's so adaptable to your life if it's just. If it's a. It's this wealth tool that you can just add in. But yeah, I love it.

How much time does it take you each day to run your systems? Like, let's say when you were at your peak, running the most strategies because you've calmed it down now. How much time was it taking you?

Oh, still only like half an hour. Yeah, yeah, max. I would say max. And it's only half an hour. Like, most days are not even that because, look, most days I don't actually have a trade to take, so it's just checking.

Yeah, they're my favorite days.

I know.

But yes, getting paid for doing nothing.

Hey, again, just what's the mission with Ms. Wealthy?

It is to empower more women. Women, specifically men, are welcome to invest and set up their financial future so that they understand that they don't have have to trade their time for money. So I'm more investing focused rather than trading focused because not everyone, you know, wants to be a trader and that's cool. And go on the same journey I did. Get out of debt, learn to, you know, manage money and really master your mindset around wealth creation.

Yeah, great. And I. Look, I've had the pleasure of teaching trading to quite a number of your students. And look, I can honestly say your community is. If those students are in the thing to go by, your community must be amazing.

So, yeah, there's some great people that come through and seeing that transformation too, of thinking, God, I'm not even someone that can invest to then finishing my program and then going, oh my God, I can go learn training, like, and then joining. It's so cool. Yeah, it's great.

Love that a lot. So what would you say to those people who are, I don't know if I can do this. I don't know if I can invest. I don't really even have much money. Like, what would you say to them?

Yeah, just take the step that's in front of you. Don't think about the mountain that you have to climb because, like, also the mountain is the journey. Like, the climb is the journey, you know, because you'll start trading and then you'll have systems like me, and then you'll develop and then you'll shift and whatever.

I would just take the next step and ask questions. Oh, My God. If I could just like stamp that on my forehead. Please just ask the questions. Even if it's like, I don't know what to do next. I'm confused right now, you know, I'm overwhelmed. What is my next step?

Yeah.

If it's just that question. Holy. People would propel so much faster.

So true. So true. I. I think one of the problems that we both have because we're trying to help people do sort of similar things is that a lot of times people don't know what the question is. They just know that they're not sure about something.

Yeah.

And in that situation, the solution is exactly what you said. I don't. I'm stuck.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

Do something. I'm. Wait, I'm in the beach and I'm looking for a lifeguard.

Yeah.

It's just that you don't know what's wrong because we probably know what's wrong. Like, do you know what's wrong with your ladies when you're. You start talking to them? It's like, what's this?

Instantly, right? Instantly. But I've fallen into the same trap of two of like, well, I don't know what question to ask. So I'll just keep trying to figure out what question to ask and that's just not it.

Yeah, got it. Exactly right. And I have the same thing. So I have a 30 second conversation. Oh, it's this.

Yeah.

Yeah. But they don't know that. I only know that because I've dealt with like thousands of students and I've been doing it for 25 years. So it's like, oh, there it is. It's easy. Just do this. Right. But you gotta ask or you gotta put your hand up.

Yeah, yeah, true. And you'll get to like, you'll start so much faster. Because as you said before, it's not about perfection. It's the starting and then you just. Perfect as you go.

Nice. One final question for you, Simone. You're busy. You got family, run your own business, you've got a big community, got, you know, your, your relationship, you're doing property investing, lots of things going on. Can you fit trading into a busy life?

Oh, gosh, yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely. I think it's like.

I saw this. I can't remember who said it. And I think it was about. I was learning about business at the time when I was starting the company. And it was, don't try and do this like, yo, yo, extreme thing that never works. Just like dieting, you know, it's moderation. Like, don't cut out all of your TV time. I like tv, I like movies. I'm going to cut it out. It's so ridiculous. But instead of watching whatever two hours a night or an hour a night, just watch half an hour and do half an hour of learning or half an hour of whatever. Like still, you can still fit it in there is everyone here has expense, you know, expendable time that they can spend.

I think Simone, I'm busy. You don't understand.

Yeah, no, now we're all busy.

We all have 24 hours a day. We all make choices and I think that's the thing. If we can make a better choice with a small amount of our time, we can learn a skill which is life changing.

Yeah, exactly. Absolutely.
