we could look at 100 ideas that are original and have to throw all of them away because none of them really stand up. But it only takes one system that is already working in one market and adapting it to another market and you've got a new system. There are a lot of rabbit holes that we can go down that just are very low probability. And so if we wanna do system development work, where do we spend our time? You know, focus on high probability, high impact things. There's gonna be a time where you're gonna test original ideas, no doubt. But you're probably not gonna test an original idea that is highly correlated to an existing system we've already got. Like, why bother? You might test an original idea that is structurally inversely correlated to what you've already got, because if that idea pays off, it's really valuable. But yeah, taking existing systems and adapting them or adjusting them is a pretty high-value way of spending time because you've got a high probability of getting something successful out of it. Anyone else feel— fall victim to this in the past? I certainly have. I love to test original ideas, but there's still systems I've got that I haven't tested on other markets or every market.
