Adrian Reid explains how to adapt Q-Bounce, a single-instrument trading system, to multiple ETFs or assets. You need sufficient liquidity, no overlapping exposures between instruments, and matching leverage profiles so the same parameters work across all of them. Mismatched instruments will hurt performance.

Okay, what are the criteria that I would use to select instruments to trade on this system and define them in advance, which— so that you then have criteria that tells you the universe, and then you apply the system to the universe. So the trick here is Q-Bounce is a single instrument system, and if we select a portfolio of ETFs to trade with, then it's now— we're now creating a portfolio system. So that may or may not work as well. But you could say, all right, they've got to be, have a certain amount of liquidity. There's got to be no duplication between the lines, like Joe said, because there's a lot of repetition in these things. They've got to all have the same leverage level so that they— their kind of decay profile is the same. So that the same parameter settings will work across ETFs. So you can define all these criteria and that would then select the profile for you.
