Enrico Schaefer tells lawyers that mindset is the biggest barrier to using AI effectively, not the technology itself. His Quad Core Learning Method has four pillars: strategy, skills, measurement, and mindset. Without the willingness to change decades of habits and constantly improve, AI stays a passing trend.

If you're a lawyer trying to 10x with AI, mindset, your mindset is the very first bottleneck. It's not the skills or the tools or the AI tools, it's mindset. And I built what I call the Quad Core Learning Method almost 3 years ago. It involves strategy, skills, measurement, and mindset. And lately I've been getting this question in the comments: what do you actually mean by mindset? Mindset for an AI-driven lawyer means this: you, you actually want to amplify yourself using these tools. You have to want it. You're willing, you're willing to change the way that you've practiced law for the last 3, 5, 10, 30 years. You, you're open to brand new workflows and you're hunting for them every single day. And you have to have an almost unreasonable appetite to become a better attorney, a better attorney than you ever thought possible before AI. AI came along. Because here's the deal, if you don't have that mindset, you won't sustain the momentum that it takes to keep up with these tools, to keep getting better, to understand new features as they roll out, and to understand the model improvements which are coming week in and week out, month after month. If you get your mindset right, the skills, the workflow, they will come. If you don't get the mindset right, AI just becomes another shiny object that you tried for a week and then abandoned. My name's Enrico. Follow the channel, share, ask questions in the comments. We're gonna be talking a lot about mindset and skills and strategy over the coming months.
