Install Direct Mount panel

In this video we'll be discussing how to install a direct mount shutter application inside mount on a wood trimmed window. Notice that each individual shutter panel is stamped or embossed with the job number and specific line number. In addition, the ramp cap on the bottom of each panel identifies the panel sequence within that window opening. This suggested method of installing direct mount requires first measuring the position of the pre installed hinge plate on the panel and then transferring that measurement to the window itself. As a side note, you'll notice that each hinge is designed with a set of oblong holes and round holes. Installation screws should first be placed through through the oblong holes. This will allow for a degree of adjustability. Now that the top hinge is properly positioned and the panel is hung, the remaining hinges can be positioned. Then panel adjustments can be made and the set screws installed. This installation included bi fold panels. The connecting panel is always attached after the primary panel is hung and secured. The installation is finished by installing the light blocks which surround the opening on all four sides directly behind the panels. Screws of special length and color are provided for the light blocks.
