Install Hang Strips and adjusting width and height of panel

In this video we'll be discussing how to install a hang strip shutter application inside mount on a wood trimmed window. Notice that each individual shutter panel is stamped or embossed with the job number and specific line number. In addition, the ramp cap on the bottom of each panel identifies the panel sequence which within that window opening. You'll notice the pre installed hinges on the hang strips are designed with a set of oblong holes and round holes. The factory has attached the hinges using the oblong holes only. This allows for a degree of adjustability. Position the hang strip to where the barrel of the hinge remains outside of the opening and nests the nicely into the window trim reveal. The panels can then be immediately hung. The connecting panel is attached only after the primary panel is hung and secured. There's lots of room for adjustment design into the system. The installation is then finished by installing the top and bottom light blocks directly behind the panels. Screws of special length and color are provided for this final component.
