In this video we'll be discussing how to measure for a divider rail or split tilt for an outside mounted shutter. Outside mount shutter frames include L frame and deco frame, so this video instruction is applicable to those frames. And as you know, both these frames require a frame to frame measure format. When ordering, the size includes the frame. The measuring principle for divider rail is simple. Use the same measure format for measuring the divider rail placement as you would for the larger unit itself. And this is regardless of window type. It's the frame type that's important here, since L frame and deco frame require using a frame to frame measure format. When measuring for divider rail placement with these frames, measure from the bottom of the bottom frame up to the center point where you want the divider rail.
