Ergun Aral shows how to measure a Z-frame shutter for a wood-trim window with a sill. Measure width and height in three places and use the smallest number. If diagonals differ by more than 1/4 inch, you may need to mount it outside instead.
Questions this video answers
Measure the window width in three places (top, middle, bottom) and use the narrowest measurement as the order width.
Measure the window opening height in three places (left, center, right) and record the shortest measurement as the order height.
If diagonal measurements vary by more than 1/4 inch, consider specifying an outside mount treatment.
