Measuring for Deco-frame on drywall-wrapped window

In this video we'll be discussing how to measure for a deco frame shutter application on a drywall wrapped window. Deco frame requires a frame to frame measurement when ordering. In other words, the size ordered includes the frame and the factory makes no deductions from these order sizes. Your final assembled unit will measure exactly to your frame to frame measurements plus or minus a sixteenth of an inch. As a best practice measuring technique, we recommend the measurer take a sample piece of deco frame and place it on the wall slightly beyond the window opening to mark the planned frame position. Make a mark on the outside of the frame as your measure reference point and do the same on the other side of the window. Your frame to frame order width will be your mark to mark measurement. Do the same to determine your order height. However, please note that since this window has a window sill, the order height is measured from the top of the top frame down to the surface of the windowsill, not below the window. Of course, this application must use a sill bottom as the deco frame cannot fit on top of the window. Silly.
