Measuring for L-frame for wood-trimmed window (mounting on frame)

In this video we'll be discussing how to measure for an L frame shutter application Outside mount on a wood trimmed window As a best practice measuring technique, we recommend you take a sample piece of L frame and place it on the window trim to demonstrate placement options to the consumer. L frame is commonly positioned directly on the the window trim in two widely accepted applications, either all the way to the outside edge of the trim or at some midpoint that is compatible between the shutter frame style and the window trim style. The outside edge of the frame at a preferred position on the window trim will be your measure. Reference point measurements taken as outside of frame on one side to outside of frame on the other side is referred to as a frame to frame measurement. When specifying L frame, the factory makes no deductions from your frame to frame order sizes. Your final assembled unit will measure exactly to your frame to frame measurements plus or minus a sixteenth of an inch.
