Eric Roberts recommends incline treadmill walking at 2-3 mph with 8-13% incline for 15-30 minutes post-workout or 30-60 minutes on rest days, 2-4 times weekly. A weighted vest provides similar benefits when an incline treadmill isn't available.

Incline treadmill walking is one of the best exercises for fat loss, heart health, and muscle recovery. Here's exactly how you should set it up. First, the speed. Depending on your level of cardiovascular health, anywhere between 2 to 3. Once you start going above 3, you turn it into a high-intensity cardio exercise, and that's not what you want. Number 2, the incline height. And again, depending on your physical fitness level, somewhere between 8 to 13 on the incline. Going above 13 will make you climb Mount Everest. You don't need that shit. Number 3, how long? If you're doing it after a workout, 15 to 30 minutes is more than enough. Or if you're doing it on a rest day, 30 to 60 minutes. Number 4, how many times per week should you do this? For the best results, I would say 2 to 4 times per week, but if you can only get 1 time, it's still better than 0 times. And if you don't have access to an incline treadmill, walking with a weighted vest is very similar.
