Three mistakes on cable chest fly: keeping arms bent on the way in, locking them straight on the way out, and shrugging your shoulders. Fix them by fully extending, maintaining a slight bend, and keeping shoulders down for better chest activation and less arm strain.
Chapters
Here are three mistakes to avoid making when you're doing your cable chest fly. The first mistake: please do not keep your arms bent as you come up. You want to try to extend your arms and get the biggest squeeze on your chest possible. And then number two, as you come down, do not keep your arms extended. You want to have a bend in your arms on the way down to take the pressure off of your bicep and to be able to. stretch your chest much more. And then number 3, try to avoid shrugging your shoulders up as you go forward. Keep your shoulders for the most part pulled down. And like we said, extend your arms, bend your arms. Got it? Got it.
