Eric Roberts says stop counting vegetable calories, they're too low to matter for weight loss. For restaurant meals, estimate from the menu or skip tracking that meal. Eighty to ninety percent consistency is enough, not perfection.

If you're tracking calories and trying to lose weight, stop tracking calories of vegetables. Nobody ever got fat from eating one too many handfuls of lettuce or broccoli. And your next question is, well, Eric, should I be tracking the fruits that I am eating? Yes, you should be tracking fruits because fruits, especially some fruits, can be higher in calories. So you do want to track those, but your veggies God, no. And one more thing on tracking calories. When you go out to eat, you can do one of two things. Number one, you can try to track the calories to the best guesstimation of your ability. Or if you're going to like a fast food restaurant, a lot of those places have the calories listed on the menu, so you can do the best you can. Or number two, you can just not track and just get right back to it the next meal. This obsession with you trying to be perfect with calorie tracking, it's not necessary. As long as you're 80 to 90% consistent, I promise that's all you need to see results. And if you need to know how many calories you should be eating to lose weight, click the link in my bio.
